Wasn't able to see the game last night, but wow, Martin's numbers are impressive. Even if his outside shot has somehow gotten UGLIER (which I didn't even know was possible), the guy can play. I'm with VF21, in the games I've seen this season Martin has really brought it.

^ I know piksi, not real thrilled but with only 9 games I'll take what I can get! most of the games I get to see are against them.

Martin and Garcia have both made good plays and mistakes too. Before this game I would say Garcia had outplayed Kevin, but this game Kevin played great and Garcia stunk it up. As for the other guys, they are a bunch of scrubs with a slim chance of making the team and no chance of getting any playing time unless something goes terribly wrong this season, why even argue about it? I can't wait for the season to start.

Sampson will make the team as 12th man, and Price will get the 13th spot in the DL. Unless Flores really goes off, I don't quite think he can beat out Price now. Unless they decide to keep 14, which I doubt. Flores I hope finds a spot somewhere in the league.

While that may perhaps be true, it would also be fair to say that Martin has at least two-up on Garcia, that have historically proven to be particularly important to Rick Adelman; Martin:

1) Knows the system more intricately, and

2) Is not a rookie.

I was comparing Martin's situation last year to Garcia's this year, Garcia's shooting ability being the only real difference. As far as this year is concerned, I feel quite a bit more comfortable with Martin at the moment. Don't know why, like you said above he just seems to have a better grasp on things more consistently. They aren't competing so its not really important, I do have some deep seeded desire to see the two of them on the court together, just love the energy and hustle and pressure they bring. We'll see if Garcia can reign in his offensive game a little and maybe convince Rick to give him some minutes.
