Coach most likely just wanted to see Anderson with the starters. Ben still played with the starters in the 2nd anyways

Well, not nearly as much, and certainly not in a position to create for others off the attention he draws.
And that's quite a mistake from where I'm sitting. A huge part of his value is the attention he draws from below the elbow.

The balls been taken out of his hands for the most part and when he's had it inside there is no spacing or shooters outside. He's tried to find some guys inside but there is just zero spacing depending on lineups.
It was inevitable, having Rondo on the team. Cousins' assists almost necessarily have to come down; you pretty much have to let Rondo dominate the ball, to get any use out of him (not making a value judgment, just stating what I believe to be fact; Rondo is what he is), We'll probably still get to see some Cousins ISO, particularly when Collison is out there.

I know us playing like crap is mostly due to lack of playing together. What worries me however is DMC out on the perimeter, Ben not having an impact at all in this system, and casspi looking like crap.
It's only the 3rd preason game so I keep telling myself to relax lol Maybe we can find a little rhythm come opening night!
If we can just run more Rondo and DMC pick and rolls we should be alright. I honestly would rather have him control the offense than everyone handling the ball and running around all crazy.

If you notice it, regardless of scoring or dishing assists, he is practically coaching the team on the floor, calling the rotations in defense and setting the pace in offense. As said before, the axe coach-point guard-center is the backbone of any team with a minimum ambition-level. Let them get the rhythm and all the tiles will fall into place.
I guess that explains that then.

Yes, that's the mistake. So far this preseason, acknowledging it's only the 3rd game of preseason, Karl's using him more as an Anthony Davis type. Off the ball, quick shots/attacks off P&Rs or chances inside off Rondo drives. Yet Cuz is one of the few bigs in the league you can run an offense thru. That's exactly what separates him from a guy like Davis.
We're going to have to find more balance to that between he and Rondo.

I honestly wouldn't mind at all if Rondo went after players for not doing their job.. He's already looking like his former self again..very impressed despite it being just preseason. However, the problem I'm starting to see is that Cuz and Rudy are a lot better on offense when they're creating their own.. WCS and Acy are probably our only players who can play above the rim. We also only have 3 real catch and shoot players in Belinelli, McLemore and Anderson. Rondo's assist will most likely go down this year, but it'll be due to the number of guys on this team who create their own shot. Hope we can see this Rondo in the regular season.
