.............Who would you draft?
AND........
For 1, 2 or 3 what VETERAN player would you be willing to give up the pick for?
#1-3 could net a high caliber player in a trade, I would be so happy if Stern gives us the nod this year. At min you have to explore the option of a draft day trade if we pick that high Something like a #7 pick and another first rounder for our 1-3.
The number 1 pick is Anthony Davis. He's going to be an impact player on any team he joins. I'm not saying I wouldn't trade him, but it would have to be one great deal, with a major player involved. Davis is a very very special player, and I couldn't describe a better player to put next to Cousins. So to my mind, the number 1 pick is almost untouchable.
At number 2, I'm going to surprise some people and go with Harrison Barnes. He's ready to step in and play right now. He's also a good, but not great defender. He should only get better.
At number 3, I'm going with Michael Gilchrist. As with Barnes, he can help right away, and his defense is outstanding. He's also an outstanding athlete. Only weakness is his outside shot.
In all honesty, I wouldn't be lookiing to trade any of these three spots. Any of those three players is going to start and potentially be a star in the NBA. But I would entertain offers. Never say never!

Harrison Barnes must have made a quantum leap from last year to rocket to #2. What's changed?
What if we fall outside the top 5 with our pick? I'm assuming Davis, Barnes, Gilchrist, Drummond, and Robinson are the first 5 to go. Who do we take?
Would you try to make a deal to trade back with the Jazz and possibly get their two first rounders? We could possibly take a combo of Henson and T Jones to fill the PF and SF spot or is there still a player you really prefer at #6 for this team?
If thats the top five, then the next best player in my opinion is Jeremy Lamb, who is a SG, probably followed by Bradley Beal, another SG. All depends on the picking teams needs of course. So Yeah, I'd be willing to do that trade. Not sure Utah would. I like Henson, but I'm not excited about him the same way I'am Davis, so I'd have to think about it a little. But with the second 1st round pick, I still like Jeffery Taylor for the SF Position. He's a great athlete, and a terrific defender, probably second to only Gilchrist in that area. If Vandy goes far in the tournament, you can expect Taylor to rise up the draft boards. And he'll knock it out of the park at the combine. Not to mention, he's a very good shooter.
Hey, if you want to really improve our defense with those picks, take Terrence Jones and Taylor. Play Jones at the PF spot.
McGee is the dumbest player in the NBA, I wouldn't even take him for free.
