Should we trade Peja Poll.

As of this moment I am riding the Peja/Bobby for Odom bandwagon.

Sure we may be giving up a little to much, but this helps us.
-Peja doesn't want to be here.
-Bobby is an aging, injury plauged point guard who want to be a starter before his career is up.

-Odom is a good rebounder, a good defender, a low post presence, and with him our offense would be better, IMO. Now we have Bibby and Cat on the outside. Miller going midrange, Webber going middle/inside, and Odom banging around down low. Maybe not "better" but more spread out. And I like that idea.

I personally think we should keep our current team intact and make a run for it with everyone healthy. But, if we do make a trade, I would hate to see the Odom/Peja/Bobby trade for the simple reason that I think it would make the Lakers too good. I don't want to see the Lakers in the playoffs if they have Bobby as their point guard, and Peja and Kobe on the perimeter. I just think if you're going to trade for (arguably) less talent, you don't do it to a team in the West. I could just see Bobby being healthy & playing his heart out (like he always does) and Peja suddenly having a great playoff run & us sitting there wondering what hit us.

I realize that the trade rumors will probably continue even after the trade deadline. However, I'd like to think that they can stop.

Its getting dangerous to come in here.

Some of the inane ramblings that I've seen here the last few days have almost driven me to repeatedly bang my head on the desk -- both out of frustration and a belief that I would understand them better if I dislodged a few IQ points.

I love the Kings and I love Peja and I've tried to stay optimistic about this whole thing. But after reading through the trade threads here, and now that we're nearing the trade deadline, I couldn't help feeling worried and nervous. Bias aside, I feel that moving someone - a starter at that - at this point will be tough because we're halfway done through the season and counting a grace period for the new player, that doesn't leave much time for adjustment. Fitting a new guy in wouldn't be instant. That's just my opinion, at least. I guess two major midseason trades just don't go down too well with me.

Kings don't need anymore trades they just need to play more consistant defense. As for rebounds, when somebody jacks up a jump shot, move toward the basket instead of running down court. RA should bring in some shotblocking and rebounding specialists(if there are any) to give a clinic.

Dam this poll blew up! 154 votes... and even though its wavered back and forth a little bit, it's been pretty much a dead heat the whole way. It does show that a lot of people think the Kings should actively try to move Peja right now(for any number of reasons), But I also think it shows a lot of us think if we keep him and he gets healthy we can still benefit from having that big threat on the offensive end. Whether the Kings make a move to get more rebounding or not, that's up to Petrie and the Maloofs. I just hope they make the right decision and the team is better for it in the end.
