There's been a lot of fuss around Peja and Webb lately. I want to know your feelings about Webb moving out of Sacramento.
I don't think they can. He is underated IMO right now. It will be tough to get equal value or someone to take a chance on that knee for his contract.

We trade him now the season is over. So the question is do we bag the season? The answer is no.

He's doing, or trying to do, everything we've asked of him.

If we fall well short again in the playoffs anything is possible during the offseason.

No one earned the right to retire as a King on this team. We hopefully trade anyone for the betterment of the team. Look at what happen to the Pacers losing at lot of players to keep Reggie. I hope Petrie is smarter than that when it comes to our players currently on our team.

Webber is a paradox for me. He has played beyond expectations and put up all-star numbers. He is the central point to the offense as well and talented big men are at a premium.

On the other hand, his physical limits due to the injury slows the entire team down. This team is just a whole lot slower than past teams. The problem is a bit of the Patrick Ewing theory, that this team plays at Webber's speed so they can keep him in the flow of the game. Without him in the lineup they can just move freely and run.

What do you do with a guy who has 3 tripple doubles in a week but who's physical limitations bogs down the team at times?

That would be more relevant if we had a whole pack of thoroughbreds being held back. As it is we are unathletic at every position except shooting guard and have very few finshers around the hoop. Wouldn't be much of an uptempo team anyway.

I am not in any way a Webber hater. I think he is amazing. BUT he has a huge contract and what will happen if he gets hurt again. I am really afraid of that. I voted "yes", but I think only if we can get something good for him. Don't just throw him away for nothing.

I agree 100%, but thats another issue.

What would the kings get from NY for C Webb.

Nothing.

The Knicks don't have anything useful to the kings. Other than a few good rebounders, but they don't value a webber.

Petrie is smart and will only make a good trade. beneficial to the kings like he always has done.

I can't say for sure if Webb or Peja will be traded by thursday.

But these trades won't happen
- Webber to the knicks
-Peja and Jackson for Odom

If they do, I will be the first to apologize.

I made it abundantly clear that my FEELING is that Webber has earned the right to retire as a King. You can disagree with the conclusion but my feelings are mine to hold as I wish.

I don't think the Pacers problems are because of Reggie Miller and I, quite frankly, yearn for the times when players weren't traded away like chattal.

All of that aside, I see nothing on the horizon that would justify trading Webber at this point in time.

He's far exceeded the expectations of a lot of people. You don't trade away the most productive player on the team just to make a trade. I certainly haven't seen ANY viable trade offers discussed that would even keep us at our current level let alone improve us with the loss of Webber. I was simply responding to the poll. I will NOT argue trading Webber because it's not gonna happen.

Well my train of thought leading up to that was along the lines of where Petrie is going. GP gets Evans, Martin and Daniels into camp. Then he trades Christie for the younger, quicker Mobley. The rumouredPeja-Odom deal is for someone more athletic as well. So to me it looks like Petrie is going for more thoroughbreds. My thoughts were that even if this is the direction the team is going(and the team needs to go this direction if you ask me) then you're still going to have them playing at Webber's tempo in the end.

And we look so great right now with him in the line up. The fact is we do not know - we can only speculate.

without Webber ,we would,at best be a .500 team right now. IMO.
Just like last season, when we were 15-43 without him (or was it 43-15?)

The Kings offense has kind of died this year. We've gotten more selfish with the addition of Mobley and the losses of Christie and Vlade, and just worse with Peja not playing as well as he can.

It is clear to me that Peja is very dispirited. He goes from being the 2nd leading scorer in the league to on some nights, the 5th option on the team. Not that it's a good excuse, but his lack of heart is conspicuous.

The Kings need to either deal him or Webber by Thursday. Getting a championship with this current team is almost impossible.

You honestly believe the Kings are championship contenders right now? Sure they have talent, but it isn't meshing.

I hate polls that ask "Would you trade (player)?" without mentioning who they would be traded for?
Webber for Kevin Garnett? Uh...Yes
Webber for Rasho Nesterovic? Uh..No
