I just wanted to know what people think since there's a lot of negative talk about him lately on tv because people say he is not proven and could be another shawn bradley.

Probably a pretty big risk, but its one worth taking IMO. He's possibly the next big international star. He's got very good athleticism and quickness for a 7 footer and from what I've read a good jumper too. Sounds like he's a player. If he's not chances are we end up in the lottery again next year and we have to try again. Of course we probably shouldn't give up on him after just one year anyway, but thats a whole different topic.

I'd pick him. Last time I checked a big man with some skills was a good thing to have on your team.

Is he worth the risk? I could be wrong, but I wouldn't mind them trying to move up to assure him being available for the King's pick.

He's definitely worth the risk.

But my concern is on the defensive end. Is he as ineffective as Brad Miller?

He's not a good defender now, but he has the athleticism and length to be a good defender in the future. It's probably safe to say he'll be a better defender than Brad once he gets stronger.

To answer the initial question, you would need to have something wrong with you not to take him at 10. I doubt he'll still be there, though.

hes worth the risk, and if the kings don't like what they see he has value because alot of teams want him so we can swing him in a trade or so for some potent players, so yes nab him.

Depends who else is available. I'd take Yi over Hawes or Thornton. If Mike Conley or Julian Wright are available, I'd have to think about it.

From what I've seen, if he works on it down the road, he could be a freak defensively like Gerald Wallace. At least he has all the right tools to.

Wow... when I voted "yes" I anticipated being on the winning side, but 41-0 was even more lopsided that I expected.

Yes, for the reasons we all seem to know already.

48-0 says it all but I'm trying not to pay too much attention to Yi because if he doesn't fall to us I'll be very dissapointed so I want to at least limit my dissapoint.

Wow, Noah over Yi? I would be pissed.
I'd be pissed too!!!!

This is a no brainer! So he might fail but that can be said of pretty much anyone in any draft! Every player carries a certain risk. Top 2 are just about a certain thing but after that it gets a lot more risky. Is Yi more of a risk than Brandan Wright? What about Julian Wright?

If he is there you take him for sure but I don't think he will be there at 10 unfortunately!
