SAR Officially a King!!!

the thing that i like most about SAR is that he signed with the nets, then the kings, for less money than he could have got elsewhere... he was offered 6 years, $42mil or more by the bucks, but turned it down for a chance to win... this is the type of character that you want in a player... not like mobley going to the clippers for more money...

hopefully, SAR comes to sacto with a purpose... the kings haven't had that "chip on the shoulders" mentality since 2002-03 season.

Now trade Kenny Thomas for Jason Collins.

Mike Bibby/Hart/Price
Bonzi Wells/Kevin Martin/Francisco Garcia
Peja/Corliss Williamson
Shareef Abudr-Rahim/Brian Skinner/Jamal Sampson
Brad Miller/Jason Collins/Jamal Sampson

Venom
He turned down the Bucks for more money with the Nets, then that fell through and Petrie still had an offer on the table.
Actually the bucks had a bigger offer than the nets... the bucks had offered something like 6 years for $42-48mil, while the nets offer was 6 years $36-38mil... nontheless, SAR said he would had signed for the MLE with the nets if the trailblazers didn't accept the trade... so money is clearly not his motive here, it is a chance to win and to win big!!!

Why would we dump Thomas hes a great player to come off the bench, we wouldn't be under the salary cap anyways if we dumped him, now we can use him as backup SF or PF, and its good to have flexibility like that. He's still going to get around 25 mins a game, and he can produce in those minutes, so IMO we should keep him.

i don't want any player in place of kenny thomas who only has a career high 20 points unless their a shotblocking or rebounding god.

Well he's 28 so the contract is till he's 33. Also with the salary that he got 5 years for 29 million he's very tradeable down the road if there was something we wanted to trade for. We needed someone better over KT at PF, we got the best one that was available in our price range. You can't really complain about getting SAR. Well you can, but I'll point and laugh at you :D
well said lmao i join in with u

you're right. Well I don't think we will get a shotblocking god or anything but Evans or E. Thomas sounds damn good to me.

Thats awsome, Glad we have him for more then a season, I think people really underestimate him, he brings a low post game that our team hasn't seen in quite some while, it's nice too see that we picked up two players (Wells, Rahim) both with low post games, because this team relied on shooting way too much.

So by picking up SAR, the hope of getting KG has dissapeared... :(
There's always "hope." We still have three other starters and three "flexible" pieces that we can trade. I'd personally be happy to see any combination of those six go to get Garnett.

good point, the low post game has arrived and I feel that we now have a much more balanced team, (inside/out, offense in starters, defensive minded bench, minus Thomas). Now if we just package Thomas and Peja for Pierce, we will be awesome!

Ehh I don't really want Pierce. We had a shoot first pass second guy last year (Mobley), and I didn't like that too much. I'd still rather see Artest. Could you imgagine Abdur-Rahim and Artest down low. *drools at the thought*

your right

Definitely Artest > Pierce in regards to trading Peja for one of them. Never really saw Pierce as a shoot-first guy, just a number of times, nor read or heard that as a label. But if that deal was open for Pierce, you do it, and in this seasons terms, Pierce would be at SF, not SG. Pierce is so versatile.
