It's absolutely maddening, and it's shaking my confidence in the coaches. Our offense has regressed from last year. All the blowout losses come when we are cold from 3 and don’t choose to drive.

One horrible game doesn't mean we're going to spiral into the abyss of mediocrity. We literally had a worse roster and record at this point last season
To be fair, he did miss a bunch of our road games with the back injury.Murray needs to play better on the road.. wonder if it's becoming a psychological thing
Home: 19.9 PTS, 50.3 FG%, 47.2 3P%
Away 11.1 PTS, 37.7 FG%, 21 3P%
No idea how kings will fix this problem. If they don't shoot well from 3 they simply dont win. Maybe give sabonis more shots inside inplace of some of the 3's3-27 from 3 for any player not named Fox. You can’t win in the NBA with those numbers.
yea he'll probably figure it out. The gap between home and road game wasn't that wide last season. To be fair, he did miss a bunch of our road games with the back injury.

I mean, he was 7-15... that's insanely good.
I missed this one (thankfully), but I'm seeing
HB: 3-8 for 9 points
Keegan: 2-11 for 5 points
Huerter: 2-8 for 5 points
Monk: 3-11 for 7 points
Sasha: 0-3 for 0 points
Total: 10-41 (24%) for 26 points
That's unacceptable. Looks like Fox and Domas were beyond elite, but they got negative help tonight.
Yea I don't think the Kings will go far playing the way they do by relying so much on the 3. They will win games, but if the goal is deep playoff run then that's just not gonna work. They just don't have the personnel to play that way. Will have to adapt and figure something out.Are they capable of running any plays or getting anyone else going from inside the 3 point line? I'm not sure that they've practiced it much in a team setting
The porous defense meant that we had to chuck threes to try to keep the margin close. This means that we took progressively worse shots trying to catch up. It's like furiously rowing the boat when you're taking in water. You can blame missing the threes, but defense was not played after the first 3 minutes of the game.

and they also have another guy who is an all time great shooter
Kings now have 2 days to stew on this loss, a couple nights in Hotlanta and a Hawks team to play that normally gives us some trouble. Also Young shot horribly from 3 tonight so expect an 8-12 night from him Friday.
ok I’ve reached my allotted negative posts for one season in this one game thread. Time to leave. Haha![]()

Blazers picked apart the Kings defense far too easily. Where was the defensive adjustment? Did we change up the scheme or change the defensive personnel on the court? Even a few minutes of defensive disruption would have been enough to get the Blazers off rhythm and close the gap. We just kept doing the same things that didn't work all game.
Also, what's with the videogame defense? Too many instances of people running away from the person catching the ball and giving up the open three.
