So Ordinary That It's Truly Quite Extraordinary

if you are claiming the NBA purposefully tanked the challenges that is a bridge too far for me.
The NBA doesn't oversee challenges the refs do and it seems clear for whatever reason the head ref last night was heavily biased to OKC.

A lot of challenges that Mike loses are calls where the refs just refuse to overturn their own work. The NBA absolutely should have a review center that makes the calls and relays down to the official. Refs don't want to admit their mistakes any more than we do when we're wrong.

I've been using the word 'trust' but that's probably not the best word for it. Harrison Barnes and Trey Lyles were both here last season and proved themselves by hitting game winners, making key baskets in overtime, coming up with big stops to finish off wins, etc. It might be hard to see that having joined in this season, but both are good players who have had iconic moments for this franchise. On top of that, for Barnes specifically, this is his 6th year with the team which makes him the second longest tenured King after Fox. Both of these guys have built up a lot of 'equity' with the Coach and with their teammates because of that history and that gives them more leeway to make mistakes and still keep their roles and their minutes consistent.

We have a lot of Kings fans who join the community as fans of specific players and of course all are welcome! I think perhaps because you're focusing more on Vezenkov, it's harder to see the context of why Coach is making the moves he's making. The Kings were a brilliant success last season jumping up from the ranks of the perennial lottery teams into a #3 seed is almost unheard of. But now they're back in year 2 which is the "prove you're for real" year and Coach is being particularly hard on the young players and rookies because he's been in the league long enough to know that, more than anything else, complacency is the enemy of success. He doesn't want anyone feeling good about themselves -- he wants them pushing even harder. It's a tough line to walk as a coach but I think it's the right one for this team and these players judging how Fox, Murray, and Sabonis have all responded to it.

I'll just add that -- having lived through every excruciating year of the Kings non-playoff streak -- all I can tell you is that patience goes a long way as a fan of this team. Nothing comes easy for us. I do personally enjoy the enthusiasm you're bringing to the board though so feel free to keep the same energy. In time all these players will have earned their equity with you too as a fan of the Kings. :D

Hey mate !
Thank you very much about your answer , it was pleasure to read it and you pointed several things I didn’t think about so far but will do now ;)
You know what is so amazing when we speak about team sports ? A team can just grab you and don’t let you go …. Yes surely , I am Bulgarian and start following closely Kings only because of Vezenkov … I assumed not much of you guys know but he is just the second from our country to ever play in NBA (last time I wasn’t born ) and as former high school prospect for me is real excitement to watch him …
But having watched already 25 games (including the 5 summer games ) I started do get really passionate to the Kings and their basketball … It feels like I watch my favourite soccer team , I am whole day sick after a lose and just the opposite with a win
That is why I just can’t stay and not say what I see … I respect the years of Barnes at the team , I understand that 6 years are like a lifetime especially in NBA , but he is more like a liability at the moment …
Both Vezenkov and Lyes put more energy into the games , and should be getting more minutes into them …
The other obvious weak point in the starting 5 is Huerter , but there is already a pattern where he actually plays less the the “6th man” Monk , so nothing to be said more there…
Also in B2B games Brawn HAS to be more flexible …. When out 30 min on the bench players , or so called second unit , and burn the hell out of the starting five in the rest 18/20 minutes
Our pace and dynamic in those games is at middle school level , already three times and counting….
