For the third year, Carl’s Jr. has teamed with the Sacramento Kings to offer Kings bobbleheads. Thanks to the strong fan response in the Sacramento area, the two previous bobblehead offers were recognized as the top “Out of Arena” promotions in the NBA.

The limited-edition bobbleheads have been so popular with fans that lines have often formed outside Carl’s Jr. restaurants awaiting each week’s new release. This year, what was expected to simply be another popular bobbleheads offer may now turn into a collectors’ frenzy. Two of the 2005 season bobbleheads feature commerative versions of Matt Barnes and Chris Webber, along with current Kings Brad Miller, Darius Songaila, and Greg Ostertag.

“This could be the fans’ only chance to get a Barnes or Webber Kings bobblehead,” said Renae Scott, vice president of field marketing and media for Carl’s Jr.

“There is already buzz about these sought-after, one-of-a-kind items, and we haven’t even begun offering them in the restaurants yet.”

Each week, participating Carl’s Jr. restaurants will offer one new bobblehead. The featured players, in order of the date of their release, are:

March 23 - Brad Miller
March 30 - Darius Songaila
April 6 - Matt Barnes
April 13 - Greg Ostertag
<li> April 20 - Chris Webber

Carl’s Jr. guests may order the featured bobblehead for $4.99, with a select purchase. Bobbleheads will be sold in the Sacramento area – including Stockton, Modesto, Williams, Auburn, Placerville and Suisun City.

This is the Kings’ 20th season in Sacramento. To celebrate, the players are featured in uniforms that the team used in their first (1985-86) season: light blue in color, with "Kings" written in script on the front and the player’s name positioned beneath the number on the back – a rarity in sports history.

Carl's Jr. has successfully sold bobbleheads in previous years with promotions tied to the San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Lakers, St. Louis Rams and the Colorado Avalanche. Bobbleheads were first produced in the early 1900s and were popularized with figures of well-known political and pop icons. During the past few years, the sports-figure bobbleheads have gained value as collectibles, attracting bids of more than $150 on Internet auction sites.

Go to the site cause it list the cities in and around Sac area that will be selling the bobbleheads with phone numbers and location. You can also see what the bobblehead will look like on the site too.

Any of you guys planning on buying them?? March 23, Brad's bobblehead is out! I saw on the news already of them selling it at Carl's Jr. and the line was very long!! I heard some fans even camp out just to buy it. I'm planning on getting mine...I hope they still have Brad's!!!!! The first time they sell at Carl's Jr., I only got Bibby's! :(

they had one of those little in game ad things for them last night...ive never been a bobblehead doll fan (its pretty much junk) but after seeing the Brad and Mike bobbleheads i really wouldn't mind adding them to the rest of my Kings merch...plus that Brad doll looked so cute with the headband on

Yeah, I also thought it was cute that they had Brad with the headband. :D It's more like him.

Where did you see Mike's bobblehead? I didn't see it at the site?

i could of sworn he was shown in the pic in the ad..but it might have been Matt Barnes...i don't remember...i was spending most of the 8 seconds looking at the Brad bobblehead...i didn't notice the other ones too much

edit: Alright i just saw the picture again on kings.com and it was Darius who i thought was Mike

Speaking of bobble-heads, I am having to pare down my things in order to make a move back to California. I have a couple of older bobble-heads if anyone wants them. One of them is Vlade in a home jersey, and the other is Bobby in an away jersey.

p.s. I also have several WNBA bobble-heads....not only Monarchs, but a couple of others as well.

Edit: The Bobby Jackson bobble-head, from the 2003 Carls Jr collection is spoken for. The Vlade Divac bobble-head, from the 2002 collection (I believe) is still available if anyone wants it.

Well, the 'rare, no longer on the team' bobbles may be expected to be great sellers, but I thought the turnout for Brad was rather poor. I went at 1230 PM, on my way to work, because I forgot they went on sale today, and they still had several.

So if you don't live in cali., you're just SOL???? That's not cool for those of us who are no where near sac.

I agree. I am thinking about driving to Vacaville just to get them. Do they sell out rather quickly in Vacaville?

Here in Modesto, they still have plenty left according the the cashier lady.
I went this morning at 8am to buy it cause later in the day, I won't have a car. But the cashier lady said that they only sell them after 10:30AM and not to worry because there's a lot left. That's good cause I really want Brad's bobblehead! ;) Hopefully I can get it soon. I remember when I got Bibby's Bobblehead, it was already 3-4 days after the sell and they still have a few left.

Maybe a lot of people don't know it out yet?? I didn't know until I saw it on the news yesterday afternoon.

I thought that too. He didn't look like him very much..............................

Anybody got darius's boblehead? I am trying to get the whole collection!

P.S. Songaila bobblehead does look ANYTHING like the real Darius Songaila. ;(

i can't believe they finally made the cwebb one AFTER they traded him away. this is so bs. the players don't even look like the actual ppl unlike the years before where they attempted to make some replicas. they raised the price for this junk also. i'm not wasting my time or money this time to get this garbage

I missed out the first week, but got Darius. All the Carl's jr. bobbleheads I have are hurt or traded, except Darius.

I hope I haven't jinxed him by getting his bobblehead....

You know what is really, REALLY weird?

My local Carl's Jr. still has the Brad Miller bobblehead!! That;s crazy!!
Same here!!

I went to get Darius' bobblehead today and the cashier lady asked me if I also need Brad's bobblehead (cause they still have a lot)!

I guess this set of bobblehead collection isn't doing as great since Matt and Webb are no longer in Kings?

nowhere near the media hype the last round of bobbleheads got + higher price= less interest. and probably plenty of stock due to the mania created last time around.

No.

Last year, even with the "craziness", toward the end after all the dolls were released the only one they were missing was the B-Jax bobble. Since he was the first one released, that's understandable.

Try Fairfield too.;)
