Marty is clearly not a big fan of Hawse. I don't blame him. He probably wants the best for the Kings. This early in the process of rebuilding, the best for the Kings is not to take chances on damaged players with physical limitations and attitudinal problems.
If Hawse is really up for a contract extension, I think Marty's issues are valid.
We don't want a " future center " who's talent is limited to taking cute jump shots. We want a " future center " who can defend, play the post, get rebounds, block shots, and run up and down the floor - without reservations or fear of being reinjured.
Are we building a solid Championship team, or just a mediocre team?
