My problems with Brooks would be that a) he was here last year during a miserable campaign. That smears him a bit in my book. Yes I know he amazingly won 2 games when Muss was out. However I think those are the only two wins in his career, and they were at home, against the worst teams in the league. Completely discount that.
So then you come to experience, and Brooks just does not measure up. I think last year was his first and only year as a #1 assistant, and as mentioned it went disastrously.
Are you totally ignoring the three years he spent as an assistant in Denver?

Scott Brooks is, if anything, the anti-Musselman. There were rumors last season that at times Musselman wouldn't even talk to him. So, he's not tainted with the stench of the previous adminstration, so to speak.
