Rondo Trade Idea...

lol @ Rondo overrating

ur trading a legit scoring option for a player who puts up good numbers at the 4rth or 3rd option on a top contender who is often left wide open to shoot

It is not about the scoring.

In fact I should edit that to say that WINNING in the NBA is not about the scoring.

So... there's this article today...

It's more about the Celtics liking Tyreke Evans and trying to trade up for him and possible trade ideas. Guess what one of those suggestions was... :)

The Kings have also reached out to the Celtics and would be willing to deal the No. 4 pick if they could get Rondo in return. The Celtics would likely want more than just the No. 4 pick for Rondo -- and the Kings might be willing to throw in either Jason Thompson or Spencer Hawes to make it happen
Now obviously this is Chad Ford just trying to talk up teams on a dead day, but you know, if it makes me look less crazy... I'm not trying to say I am for breaking up our young front court, more so that this idea has been brought up before.

Heh -- I am sure the Celtics WOULD want more than just #4 for Rondo -- he's already better than any point they are going to draft there. But us being willing to break up the young frontcourt to make it happen? How does that move us ahead? Would give Westphal another Paytonesque stopper at PG, but leave us pathetic up front once again (also a trademark of Westphal teams).

Noc or Cisco, one of the later picks, a future pick, these are all reasonable requests as we try to cover for Kevin's patheticness on defense (actually you can't cover for a guy who doesn't even try). But the only hope we have for the future at the moment lies in that frontcourt (and no, as teams that Kevin has started for have won 34, 38 and 17 games, I am not counting him as hope for the future).
