The point is, I think, that Horry gets himself open. I watched closely on one play as he hung on the left wing before shifting over to the right to free himself of his guard. He did it while everyone was looking at Manu...and he did it so smoothly I might not have noticed had I not made a point to watch.

I honestly think he may be able to make himself momentarily invisible to the opponents.

Are you kidding me ? As soon as Horry passed the ball to Ginobilli, Rasheed went over to trap the player in the corner. As sad as this might sound, it was only the second most retarded thing Rasheed did that night, he was extremely lucky the time expired while he was doing the Webber timeout call.

You know its funny. he broke our hearts a couple of years ago and we all hated him for it. but tonight I was actually rooting for him to make that clutch shot. I mean you cant change the past. as much as i am saddened we lost that series I am looking to the future in search of more glory for our team.

I found myself in the same situation. I'm rooting for San Antonio & was actually jumping up and down when Horry hit the shot. If you had told me three years ago that I would be jumping up & down when Horry hits a last second three I would never have believed it!

But am agreeing with the props for him as one of the great clutch players, and maybe THE great clutch roleplayer of all time. Just silly after awhile. Definitely been a significant factor for a number of championship teams. In fact think its fair to say that for at least 3 of the 6 teams (assuming the Spurs win this one) they do not win their titles without him. That's pretty remarkable for a a guy who has averaged 7pts 5rebs over his career.

That was a fun game to watch, and I was mightly impresed with both teams. Those guys played with intensity and aggression. It was very impressive, indeed.

Unfortunately, what dominated my mind at the end of the game was the stark realization that the Sacramento Kings (as configured) will never beat either of those teams in a seven-game series. These two teams might even make our guys wear pretty little dresses out on the court by the fourth game. Our guys, God love em, are just not tough enough to be on the court, at playoff time, with the likes of Tim Duncan, Ben Wallace, Robert Horry, Rasheed Wallace, or the others.

That's just my impression.

There's a lot of work to be done to get the Kings back to the top of the heap, so to speak. I'm thinking it is logically going to be a work in progress for the foreseeable future...

I think you'll see that a lot of us "hated" him after that dagger in 2002. However, when someone can do it on a regular basis to more than just one team, you do have to give him his due.

As far as the Pistons winning two in a row IN SAN ANTONIO to win their second title? I think the odds are against them...

And so is this Kings fan!

Actually, the other thing with Horry is that he flops and fakes with the worst of him -- really pissy little soccerish trait. So you never know exactly how badly he really IS injured, if at all. He missed the FT, so maybe he really was. But if I was playing him I would never for an instant believe he was ever really hurt unless I saw the bone poking through the skin.
