Ricky Rubio WILL be the best passer in the league, sooner then you think too.

JWill is no Rubio and Rubio is no JWill. Both have talent (Ricky's just being revealed to most NBA fans), but in subtle and stark different ways. Jason was too often a turnover machine, too often a wild gunner, who lived for flashy passes and playing to the crowd. Rubio while flashy at times is very precise in his passing, not prone to be wild, and if it's a turnover more than likely because his teammate flubbed it. But as mentioned earlier, it's still very early and we'll see how Ricky does as this season sprints along.

Rubio just had 12 points, 12 assists, 6 rebounds and a steal against the Heat, in 30 minutes. Made both of his 3 point attempts.

Without a doubt one of the more exciting players to watch, which is impressive as it is not due to athleticism. He makes people better, and be brings excitement. Very happy I got to watch him prior to the NBA, and I'm glad I fought in his corner when people were declaring him a bust before he was even drafted. Obviously it's still early, but it's pretty obvious he's got a lot of talent.
And LBJ was guarding him in the 4th.

I noticed that too at least in some highlights I saw having missed the game. Reminded me of last year EC playoffs when LBJ was put on Bulls D. Rose and definitely slowed (some might say shut down) the league MVP. Did LeBron slow down or shut down Rubio in the 4th with his sensational all around performance?

Wolves almost got the Heat too. Wade saved them for the second game in the row, with one bad tire too (wasn't sure if he could play this game). Without him the last two games the Heat could have been 2-2 for the season.
Without LBJ the last two games they would have been blown out. Wade's the better closer no doubt, but 'Bron dominates the whole game.

The "Rubio won't be able to play in the NBA" folks are definitely eating crow so far. If Tyreke doesn't come out of his funk soon it won't be too long before i'm singing the We Should Have Drafted Rubio song.

he's doing all his thing while coming off the bench.. and to see rick adelman play a rookie like him shows his talents.. we all know how Rick adelman feels about rookies. sadly He WAS what we needed, not bitter about reke but he just doesnt fit. the draw of a jimmer rubio tandem would be insane though.. but horrible defensively :))

Please don't. There's no point, that ship has sailed. One of the most annoying things I've witnessed on the board was the irrational hatred/love for Rubio back before the draft. That argument needs to stay in the past. I have a vested interest in the guy because I watched him growing up and knew what he could do. But there is no sense in discussing him in relation to Evans or the Kings, it will just do more harm than good.

Not sure about the horrible defensively part. Rubio is a more than solid defender.

Dare I say the Kings would probably be better with a pure PG (with the makeup of our team as it is now) than a combo guard running things?

Watched all of the T-Wolves games so far this year, and Rubio in his limited minutes has been flipping amazing. If he progresses and gets to start soon he could get ROY.. that's how good he's been.

when you have a potential double double in points and assists type of player it wont matter :p
It would probably mean that the Kings are long gone from Sacramento though. And we would have wound up with John Wall on the same team as Rubio due to how sucky we would have been

Good to know we passed on him when he had a chance to draft him. He's on his way to becoming the next Jason Kidd and he's what just 20!? Thank you Geoff!

only thing tyreke will be remembered for would be his 20-5-5 not to mention that maloofs reaction He has a seven foot wingspan!!! =))

should have taken a hint on how crowd reacted when rubio was shown at draft party...

Just took over in the 4th to lead Twolves to a win over the Mavs.

This kid is insanely good.

Twolves are so fun to watch. makes me wish we fired our clueless clown poor excuse of a coach and got Rick back with us everytime I see them play.

Ive only had a chance to watch highlights of him but from what ive seen combined with the box scores I must say hes made me eat my words thus far. Good for him. Good for us all. He might make a list of certain players ive been wrong about that ended up being so good im embarrassed to name them lol

Ok, threading Dirk like that at the end officially impressed me. Made him look like a joke XD. Dirty.

That was one hell of an entertaining minute... kid has potential and his passes are accurate he finds shooters and is pretty good at the pick and roll

This kid is exactly who the Kings need right now. A facilitator for the offense. But hey hindsight is 20/20. Hopefully Tyreke starts playing better so we can forget about what could have been.
