He played 17 minutes total on the pre-season.

I'm going by his time with the Bobcats. It doesn't matter if the team was bad (though I don't like to say that) or an expansion team, the guy put up the numbers in limited minutes...
Like Jason Hart?

Uh, no. He got much more PT there and started 54 times, along with having a full season with the team. :)

With Jason, he's said it himself a couple times this season, it's a new and different team and he's adjusting.

Its not like theres much to lose at this point. Throw Sampson in the line up with some of the starters for some decent minutes and see what happens. If we lose 3 more games o well. ;)

Adelman just said in the post game interview that he will be making changes. He didn't say what changes but I expect to see more of the bench or maybe even a change in the starters.

"Get back to the drawing board tomorrow", were his last words.

I think that was more of a plea to Petrie.

Because it couldn't possibly be that he just plain sucks (as his career stats indicate) and just had one kinda-sorta "career" season...

[/sarcasm]
He's a journey-man, yup. But he doesn't suck on defense.

But he's really not that great on Defense either. I've seen him make all kinds of defensive lapses, he makes plays on D(sometimes) but overall I think he hasn't lived up to his pre-season all-defensive hype either. Basically when he comes in it doesn't help, it hurts the team... period.

He's certainly looked "sucky" enough on defense in the sixteen games I've had a chance to see... Of course, on a team like ours, it's easy for "stinky farty smelly" defense to look good when it's standing next to "****ty ****ty ****ty" defense.

As in scouring the want ads for a new job because he will be gone.

I say this as a Peja defender, the team looked a lot better when he didn't start.

I'd like to see him come off the bench, or start but play much fewer minutes.

They were gelling better without him. He has a liquifying effect that counteracts positive gel action.

I think that would be a mistake. It was a mistake to think that with Webber and it's a mistake here. Sure we might have higher energy guys playing his minutes and the overall effort may be better, but we have a lower ceiling. You have to stick with your best players and make them gel. Or get them to produce enough so that they have good trade value.

NO ONE said he was.

Peja is one of 13 reasons we're losing games, and that doesn't even count the performance of the opposing team.
