Rasheed Wallace....this deserves it's own thread. Maybe the play of the decade.

Bench
Nuggets up 3 in the final seconds, Billups misses the 3 and the ball goes off McDyess out of bounds with 1.3 seconds left.

Game over, right?

Nope.

George Karl calls the TO to advance the ball to halfcourt, and Denver (I think Camby) throws a lazy pass in to Carmelo back in Detroit's end of the floor, and Melo makes a half-assed effort to catch the ball.

Rasheed Wallace, in one motion, steals the deflected (by prince) inbounds pass, takes a step and fires a 65-foot shot waaay behind halfcourt that banks in at the buzzer to tie the game.

Mind you, all of this happened in 1.3 seconds. The ball left Sheed's hand at 0.1.

I've been watching basketball for 20 years, and I've never seen a play that crazy in a regular season game. Ever.

Dang! I really want to see that play. Someone please post a link when it becomes available. In the meantime, hopefully it will be on SportsCenter.

Ya I was watching the game and turned it and when I turned it back the shot already happened I was like WTF. It was an awesome shot.

I as watching the game on NBA TV. I was thinking, it was over. Nuggets had the ball, final possession.
It was weird but something told me to watch that last play. I thought, with Tey's long arms you just never know.
Well thank goodness I stuck around. I couldn't believe it. My husband and I screamed so loud and we were jumping up and down. My heart was beating so fast. The looks on the Pistons faces were priceless. (If only I could find a pic of Delfino's reaction-purely selfish girl reasons)
But OH MY!! I am still giddy this morning watching the videos.

"Wallace tried to claim that he called the bank shot, but was drowned out by the jeers of his teammates.

"OK, I'm lying about that," he said with a laugh. "But I'll take it either way then he said, "nah, I'm lying,"
