Question about my mexican noise maker(matraca)..

I might attend the game tonight, and if I do I plan on taking my matraca which is a ratchet like wooden noise maker. Will they let me take it in Arco? Will people around me look at me weird trying to make all that noise? It's pretty loud actually, louder than a cowbell. It's a smaller version of this -

I don't think it would be a problem. Of course, I'm pretty loud at games and people look at me like I'm weird sometimes.

I think the people that are weird are the ones that sit there and chat the whole game without ever looking like they're interested in the game. I also think,"Gee, you could have done that in your living room for free."

Ha Ha..I had a couple, that arrived late and sat directly in front of me. They sat and talked the entire game. At one point the gentleman turned and asked if I could quit yelling in his ear. I asked him if he realized he was at a basketball game. I have to assume someone gave him their tickets since I had never seen them before and I pretty well knew most of the regulars by sight.

It makes you wonder why they came..

They probably forgot it was a Kings game and not a Laker game, and that we don't show up to games just to be seen, but to see the game.

I'm sorry but if some dude was swinging that thing around the whole game, I'd be so annoyed. Like you said, you go to watch the game, not hear some clicking noise. At least keep it to really dope plays Arco should be loud but only when warranted, like when Tyreke alley oops to Donte Greene when he posterizes Trevor Ariza later tonight

Arco used to be so loud, you probably wouldn't have noticed the sound of a matraca. Really. Some of those cowbells were pretty noisy, too. But Arco, at times, used to be just a gigantic tidal wave of sound. You couldn't hear someone shouting right into your ear. It was great!

True, I remember those days but I'm pretty sure there's only going to be one matraca and it can be annoying. They should just give everyone a Kings matraca

Thanks so much! We already have a 4 year old that LOVES going to games, we've taken him to a bunch the last couple years...he loves Slamson! Cant wait until the baby gets here!...I told my wife I would never force any of my sports allegiances on our kids...unless it has to do with the NBA. So far I havent had to do any coaxing yet because the one we already have has loved the Kings on his own ever since we've been taking him to games.

Oh, and btw...I think we as Sacramentans and Kings fans need to bring back the home court advantage again...anything you have that makes noise bring it! I used to bring one of those big plastic horns that you buy at party stores...I think I probably am responsible for 10 or 15 opponent misses from the free throw line. I miss Arco Thunder!

haha none taken. My only comment was on extensive use of an object that makes such a loud clicking noise but nonetheless what an awesome game you must have had alot of chances to bust out the matraca.
