Praise thread

Abe Frohman

G-League
I know there is a prayer thread, but I wanted to start a praise thread, which is just as important.
I graduated from law school and I just wanted to thank God for that. The last 3 years have been long and difficult for me (because I'm not very smart) but God has been great as he always will be and to Him be the glory.
I also give thanks for sending me my wife who has worked 2 difficult jobs to support us through all of this.
I know I can always count on His continued support in studying for and taking the bar exam and in looking for a job. Thanks in advance for sharing.

Congrats Abe... you took the bar exam right? My sisters boyfriend took it as well and is applying for law school. How did you do on it and where did you go?

Congratulations Abe!

and to continue the spirit...

I would like to thank God for the negative result of the cancer screen one of my family members went through recently. I would also like to thank him for leading me here to where their are wonderful caring people willing to admit that they pray and willing to pray for those in need.

Woohoo!! Thank you for Abe's success. Now, please help him to pass the bar exam and help him to find the right job for he and his wife.

I'll second that praise, Prophetess. :) Nice group of people on here.

I would like to praise God for bringing most of my family together last weekend in WI for my grandfather's service and for a good, long visit with my brother. We all had such a good time.

I'm glad it went well. And thank you, God, for bringing our RoyalDiva safely back to us. :)

Some excellent stories. I am happy for those that spent time with their families and were fortunate enough to receive negative cancer test results and for those finding love and passing the BAR.

I am grateful for many things. I am grateful that my wife and I are almost to the third trimester in her pregnancy after 2 previous miscarriages in the first 12 weeks. I am grateful for my health, for my job, for being able to pay my bills, for the health of my remaining family members. I believe in God.

Who am I grateful to?

Myself and my wife for having the strength and patience keep trying in the face of some unfortunate odds against us being able to have a child. Grateful to myself for working hard to keep my job so I can help provide for my wife and soon to be family.

I think we all should be praised for our own personal achievements, however trivial, and take pride in the fact that we were able to overcome adversity to accomplish things in life.

Thank you Abe for starting this thread. There's always so much negativity in the world, it's nice to hear the good stuff.

While I don't normally toot my own horn, I'm proud of my accomplishment this last weekend. I ride my bike for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training bike team, and last Sunday we rode around Lake Tahoe. Last year when I did this ride, I had to walk quite a bit up Emerald Bay and Spooner Summit. This year I only walked about a total of a mile out of the 72 around the lake. Climbing in altitude is not fun, but I did it. This also tells me I improved, so I'm thankful for my coaches and friends for all their support and encouragement. I'm lucky to be able to ride my bike for those who can't even got out of bed.

And it's nice to be a part of a forum that encourages it members in a positive light when we don't always agree on everything. Thanks for being here everyone!!!!!!:D

This is the best thread that has ever appeared on this forum. It is so easy to become overwhelmed with the negative stuff going in our lives and to lose sight of the good stuff happening as well.

I am so happy for everyone on here about the praises you have received!

I would just like to thank God for who He is, the promises He has made and the fact that they are all true.

Sometimes the situations life gives you makes you wonder, but He is in control and I thank Him that I don't have to worry about anything.

I also want to praise God for letting me join the choir in my church tonight... I've been out of a choir for about three years, so it feels good to be back. :)

I praise God for blessing me with a beautiful girlfriend who is a Lakers fan. Only he knew how to strengthen the rivalry.

What a guy..what a guy. :D No, seriously, that's great...after all, it's just a game and there are more important things in a relationship and life.

CDiddy, how's the pregnancy going? Having had miscarriages myself, I know how tough it is and may you be blessed with a beautiful, healthy baby.

congrats all of you, i would like 2 thank god for bringing a very special girl into my life. she means alot 2 me and im glad god allowed me 2 find her.

Have to praise God yet again.... got into my first car accident tonight (was rear ended after some idiots ahead of us decided to play the "let's not merge even though we have to" game, and then once they caused our accident, sped away into the night).

The boy's car is totaled and mine has some damage, but 1) neither of us were seriously injured 2) it was maybe five minutes from my house (considering that I was on my way to choir practice which is about 55 minutes away, great location) 3) my Dad was able to come right over (he's been away on business and just got back today) 4) both the boy and the police officer were absolutely wonderful 5) it wasn't my fault.

I'm definitely shaken up but looking at what could have been, I just have to say "thanks!!"

Sounds like a stressful series of events Tbear03. (Having your car damaged is bad enough, but the culprits leaving the scene adds to the problem)

As you say, its important to look at the positives...the health and safely of you and your loved ones is priceless.

I got a message from cwebb1s#1 concerning his mother who was diagnosed with breast cancer. I am happy to report that he said that the doctor's can find no trace of it.
I hope he's ok with me letting everyone know..it made my weekend and I wanted to share.
