(Before you read this, please note this whole post is made in a completely sarcastic manner, only to illustrate that C-webb isn't the only great player that has an off night shooting once in awhile.)

--Will someone please tell Dirk Nowitzki to stop shooting and get down on the block! Power Forwards are supposed to be scoring inside not clanging jumpers off the rim!!!And for god sakes if you miss that many shots at the start of the game you gotta know to stop shooting! Dirk 6 for 24 tonight.. Thats (Walton like) Hoooooorrrible.....

As a Kings fan, I am not sure you want to say that.

You just don't get the irony do you? My point is he should keep shooting... oh never mind!

I'll be moving this to the NBA forum...

If you're a shooter, like Dirk, and you miss you KEEP shooting. Dirk is capable of playing the 3, 4 AND 5... He's entitled to an off-night once in a while. The worst thing he could do would be to quit taking those shots...

Just my three cents, of course.

Does anyone get Sarcasm?

The whole point of this was to show that even one of the greatest shooters on the planet goes 6 for 24... So we shouldn't get so down on Chris that's all!!

You probably should have come right out and said that then... Sometimes you have to be a lot more obvious with subtlety.

;)

Well, he answered with 34 pts (23 in the 2nd half) @ Minnesota with a 97-87 W over the Wolves.
Dude, did you read the other posts in this thread?? I think Dirk is the man! If he misses 20 shots in a row he should keep shooting 3's! I was being sarcastic to other Kings fans who dogged out C-webb for an off night he had.

How many Mav's games have you watched lately, #1Sac?

Dirk has been killing folks lately with his mid-range turn-around jumper, he constantly uses interior up-and-under moves, he has a nice developing jump hook and sweeping hook, and he drives the lane on slower power-forwards and finishes in the paint just about every time he plays. Dirk is not only a brilliantly effective and effulgent jump-shooter, but he's also developed an increasingly unstoppable, well-rounded offensive game (including the ability to score on the blocks), and that balanced offensive game goes as long way toward explaining why he is currently #1 in the NBA in his ppg scoring average...

I can't believe another person doesn't get this...

Does anyone get the fact that I was being sarcastic?? I watch most of the Mavs games (about 10 or 12 this year) they're definately my second favorite team, I love Dirks game, He's unstoppable this year. For the Love of god! Did you read any of the other posts in this thread besides the first 1? P.S> what does effulgent mean?

My apologies, #1 Sac Fan. I didn't realize you were being sarcastic, and I merely skimmed the middle portions of this thread, before responding to your initial post...

I will say though, your Dirk comments gave me a good excuse to aptly describe Dirk's improved, league-scoring-leading, offensive game as being Effulgent. It's a good word...

Effulgent

Thanks for the info I like learning something new once in awhile. Don't take offense if I steal it though ok!
