Power Forwards: Kings vs. the West

Oh, its not over yet. But if we're even going to sniff the flatulent fumes of pretending teams who themelves fall short of 60, we've still got major remodeling to undergo. 60wins is a huge number in the NBA. Virtually guarantees you are one of the top 2 or 3 teams in given year. That you're truly elite and a championship contender. And pending further moves/work its not even clear we're even going to be Top 10. We need a full reconstruction of our front line before we can even talk about it.

Goodness -- we're going to have some SERIOUS work ahead of us to get close to that level.

We were a .500 team after the trades. We got whipped out of the first round of the playoffs. We traded away our super 6th man. We've currently got a starting power forward who might be shorter than two of our backup OGs. Our only guy who can play backup center is 6'9". We certainly have no superstar, and did not even have a single All-Star last year. Our best post players are two 6'5" guys -- one an unstable OG who was kicked off his team's playoff roster, the other a 32yr old journeyman SF who we inexplicably liked to put at C. We allowed the second most points in the league last year. Our three best returning players are all unathletic jumpshooters. In the space of a single year we've lost 2/3 of the core of the only Sacto era team to EVER win 60 games.....And now we're going to win 60 again???????

I suspect you could win a LOT of money at Vegas if you turn out to be right. Just don't bet your rent money on it or you're going to end up having to move into your mom's basement.

We were a .500 team after the trades, but that was a team held together by crazy glue! Not the same team at all. We basically had one all-star out for the rest of the season, and another often with nagging injuries. The starting lineup also seemed to change every game. For all that, to be a .500 team is quite an accomplishment.

And there you have it. Half full!!!! :D

So the PF list is dwindling at least for potential starters:
Steven Hunter
Reggie Evans
Raef LaFrenz (bench guy)
Tyson Chandler (still not nailed by Bulls and therefore worth considering in trade)
and.....
and......... hmmm

Tyson would be great, but would Rick no how to use him? He can easily frustrate coaches.

Eddie Griffin is still out there. Agreeing to a deal (if so, it's not out on ESPN (TV or site)/Tickers/RealGM) doesn't mean he's locked up or signed with the Wolves for next season. There is of course, trades, or offering him something.

Arrrggghhhh!!! never happen in RA or GP run team

I'm sure RA or GP would love to have him, but the Kings only have the MLE available and the Bulls would surely match. And with no other offers for him there's no way the Bulls would accept a S&T.
