KKSloga said:Kobe and Shaq never beat this current squad. This current squad has not even reached its peak yet with Ginobili and Parker. They beat the crap San Antonio squads that Sacramento would have killed. They won last year through a miracle shot and a choke job by the Spurs.

From now on I shall refer to Manu as NOSE. I really dislike him. He does more travelling and flopping than anyone. His flops are so stupid looking and exaggerated that they are disgusting.
Folsom Al said:The announcers (with their access to TRIVIAL FACTS), have been saying "NO TEAM HAS EVER COME BACK FROM BEING DOWN 0-3 TO WIN THE WCF" ....
My question is this .... has a team ever come back to tie it up 3-3 after being down 0-3 ???
Gargamel said:I couldn't believe the refs didn't call him for that behind-the-back drive to the rim at the end of one of the games in Phx. He just bears his head down and goes to the rim like a running back.
Gargamel said:The crap San Antonio squads that won 2 titles, eh? And then you follow up "Kobe and Shaq never beat..." with "They won last year...".
Nikos said:I remember the Lakers beating a lot of crappy teams along the way to some of their titles. With the exception of Por 2000, and Sac 2002, every team they beat was weaker than any of the elite teams playing right now.
Nikos said:Call him for what? He uses that same footwork on a lot of his drives. Did so his rookie season too and wasn't called for a travel very often. Why don't they just call it, if its that obvious?
Why do the refs let any players travel (not just Ginobili)?
Gargamel said:The refs don't call travelling because they don't call travelling. There's your answer.
Nikos said:Robinson wasn't healthy in either 01 or 02. Look at his numbers and how many games he missed in 2002 playoffs.
Spurs beating the Lakers of 03 is shrugged off, but who did the Lakers beat that ever sniffed the NBA finals? They beat teams that were not only inferior in talent, but had very little experience at the time of playing them.
Nikos said:If plenty of players travel, and they don't call it anyway, then why mention it?
Whats the reason they don't call it?
Gargamel said:Oh, gee, more revisions. Why should I be surprised that you focused on Robinson to downgrade that SA squad which had twin towers, top 3 defense, was the #1 seed overall in 2001, and had the 2002 MVP. Tell me which other team beat the Spurs in the playoffs when Duncan was healthy? Think hard about that one.
"Very little experience" = Spurs squads with title experience, the 2000 Blazers lead by the guy with 200 playoff games and 6 titles under his belt, and the 2002 Kings who had home court advantage and about 4 years with the same core of players. Gotcha.
Gargamel said:I told you. They don't call it because they don't call it.
Nikos said:I don't understand this comment, are you trying to be funny? Witty?
What travels do they not call, what makes your perceived non-calls travels? Is it because of the all star or solid offensive players treatment? Why do the refs swallow their whistles on these obvious travel calls?
Nikos said:Oops I meant 2001 Kings being solid but not that great.
2002 Kings were excellent.
Nikos said:Why was Ginobili's near end of the game play a travel?
Gargamel said:Ha ha. Yeah, you sure squirmed out of that noose.
Gargamel said:Took 3 steps while in the process of wrapping the ball behind his back.
Nikos said:Does he take 3 steps often?
