Lol! Nash travels all the time when he's cut off, and Amare is switching his pivot foot on every move to the basket. The refs in the NBA suck and are biased when they make calls... whether it's a timing thing to make the game(or series) closer, or a personal vendetta, the refs in the NBA are very inconsistant and outright biased at times, Depending on the crew you don't know from game to game which team is going to get the calls. One thing you can count on is suspect/outright bad calls that could very well decide the game every night. Don't believe me? Just watch tonights game.....

I couldn't believe the refs didn't call him for that behind-the-back drive to the rim at the end of one of the games in Phx. He just bears his head down and goes to the rim like a running back.

Robinson wasn't healthy in either 01 or 02. Look at his numbers and how many games he missed in 2002 playoffs.
Spurs beating the Lakers of 03 is shrugged off, but who did the Lakers beat that ever sniffed the NBA finals? They beat teams that were not only inferior in talent, but had very little experience at the time of playing them.

"Very little experience" = Spurs squads with title experience, the 2000 Blazers lead by the guy with 200 playoff games and 6 titles under his belt, and the 2002 Kings who had home court advantage and about 4 years with the same core of players. Gotcha.

Sorry but in 2001 they played some weak teams. If 'revisionist' is what you want to call it thats fine by me. But I still say the teams they played were weak. Philly? Portland? Sacto was OK that year, but not experienced enough, not near the team they were in the following season.
Ironically the best Laker team was in 2000, but they didn't dominate like in 2001. Not sure why they didn't do better, but that was the best Laker team IMO. Shaq was dominant, Kobe was solid, and the team played their best defense they have ever played.

What travels do they not call, what makes your perceived non-calls travels? Is it because of the all star or solid offensive players treatment? Why do the refs swallow their whistles on these obvious travel calls?

What I don't get is, with Ginobili being so unorthodox and very deliberate with every single long stride/step he takes, why wouldn't they call him for traveling all the time?
I remember him taking that Euro Two Step (2 1/2 steps, with the first step, the half one coming during the dribble before it hits the ground) when he first came in the league.
And he wasn't really called for the travel then either? Why does he get so much respect from the refs? His steps aren't exactly subtle, they are very deliberate and obvious. 3 full steps is 3 full steps. Especially more obvious when the strides are slow, and not coming off the fast break (aka like Pippen used to do and seem to take 4-5 steps, then dunk the ball).
