I think that block was a goaltend. When they showed the replay Amares hand was bent over the rim and the balls was already over the rim. So basically it was Amares hand being supported by the rim that made Duncan miss that shot.

I don't think so. I think it was the battle of strength between Duncan's dunk attempt and Amare's block that moved his hand over the rim. It didn't start in that position.

That happens fairly often with Duncan. If he doesn't hit his first couple of free throws he may be off all night. I've seen it happen at least three or four other times just this year... and I think Hubie was talking about it a while back.

Well the announcers were talking about it in game 3 during his streak of 15. They were saying how amazing it was because he used to pull a shaq every time at the line like last year and make a low percentage. This year he has clearly worked on it and for shaq its "Make them when they count" but Duncan couldnt do that today.

I don't think that they can win even one more; the Suns got the benefit of a couple questionable calls in the final minute, and basically pulled off a win despite being outplayed for about 95% of the game.

Plus, if they're counting on getting stops down the stretch to beat San Antonio, they're in big, big trouble.

The 2004 ALCS wasn't rigged, and this won't be, either. The Boston Red Sox were a better team; they just finally learned to stop getting in their own way when it comes to the Yankees.

The Spurs are a far superior team to Phoenix; the Suns aren't close enough to their level for Stern to "rig" the series, even if he were so inclined.

Doesn't matter, the ball was still touching Duncan, so it can't be a goaltend. The goaltend rule is only in effect if the ball is in the air, not if it's in the players hand. A guy could theoretically block it by reaching up from inside the net if the offensive player doesn't let go.

He hd 26 last night with him back there's no reason why they won't force a game 6. I'd like to mention that the way the Spurs toyed with Phx so far goes to show how good the Kobe/Shaq squads were, beating them 3 times. The Spurs are going to pick up 3 titles in a hurry if Duncan doesn't shred a knee or rupture his Achilles. Btw, their next title looks like it'll come against Miami. Judging from the last Det/Miami game, the refs have clearly changed their outlook on the Pissterns since the Finals. No spotting Det 12 FTAs per game, no 4 jumpball vios on Shaq vs Wallace. I'm guessing the league may not be too happy with their fans???

That shouldn't even matter. If the ball is over the rim on a shot attempt, it's goaltending if you block it. Refs made a bad call there, but I'm not shedding croc tears noting the number of times Nose has already gotten away with flopping and travelling on his forays to the rim.

If you watched the Spurs lately, and last nights game, it was actually Tony Parker who seems to average 2-3 travels a game. And his steps are much shorter than Ginobili's.

Why aren't the refs calling Manu for travels?

Kobe and Shaq never beat this current squad. This current squad has not even reached its peak yet with Ginobili and Parker. They beat the crap San Antonio squads that Sacramento would have killed. They won last year through a miracle shot and a choke job by the Spurs.

Not sure about Western Conference finals but just 2 years ago Portland came back on Dallas from being down 0-3 and nearly won.

Yup... anythings possible with momentum and a home crowd on your side. I wonder how many total teams have come back from 0-3 and lost game 7. Pheonix has game 7 at home so it would be tough to lose... although we did lose a game 7 at home a few years back if anyone remembers.
