I'm surprised no one mentioned Udonis Haslem in any of these posts. The guys a legitimate rebounder, athletic, and has some offensive weapons including a sweet mid-range jumper. Would play better in our offense. Miami wants Bibby and we can get Williams expiring contract and maybe even offload K9.

Oh I mentioned him, but not very positively, because Haslem IS Kenny Thomas. Just part II. Or III. Or IV, or whatever number it is with us with these undersized drab little PFs we seem to love. You can be a very bad team with Haslem at PF (see this year) or a very good one (see a few years back), because he does not matter himself. Just a placeholder. And one with a bad KTish contract to boot.

How about Salmons to NOK for Armstrong, Pargo and Robinson. Pargo and Robinson are exprings that can be immediately waived.

Salmons would give the Hornets a solid upgrade over Peterson. Their starting 5 would be Paul/Salmons/Peja/West/Chandler. I would ask for Armstrong-Robinson-Wright, but I don't think they would go for it.

Robinson's already been released by the Hornets. Can a waived player's contract be traded? I don't know. A trade of Salmons for Armstrong and Pargo also works. The problem with that for the Hornets is the only big men on their bench would be Ryan Bowen and Melvin Ely.

I like the Randolph idea. Like Diabeticwonder the on court part looks good. If you get rid of Artest in the trade for Zbo it may be ok but, don't want both on the same team. 20/10 isn't bad to have. Now you start talking Ty Thomas or Noah than for sure Zbo idea gets thrown out.

Please no Randolf. Please. Big contract and bad attitude. David Lee = great contract and great attitude (and some skill to boot). Plus we can get some decent role players out of the deal alongside Lee (Rose perhaps?)

I like Hilton Armstrong a lot. I wonder if NOK would do a Garcia/Kenny for Armstrong/BJax swap.

I dunno, I'd love to find a way to get Jermaine O'neal here. I know he has fallen off some but I think he'll be a Rasheed Wallace type of contributor for the next couple years without the attitude and 3s. Not sure what I'd give for him though.

Wonder if NJ would give us Josh Boone in a Brad Miller deal?

I like the idea of Randolf. Sure he has attitude but then so does the guy we're trading for him. And, I think, with Theus' background as a respected player with coaching success, Zack may be a bit more deferrential than he is to Zeke. So I say, for openers at least, send NY Artest and Thomas for Randolf and Robinson. NY gets the SF they desperately need while giving up Randolf but allowing Lee, whom they adamantly refuse to move, to start giving them a front line of Lee, Artest and Curry...two scorers, two rebounders, two defenders. They also get another PF for depth in KT. Robinson and Thomas make it possible for the trade to work and Robinson is their third string point guard. We do it to give us inside scoring and rebounding, something we desperately need, which also opens up the outside shooters more with the low post threat of Randolf while ridding ourselves of Thomas's contract. And Robinson would give us depth at PG, especially in the event of Bibby's departure, and create matchup problems ala Chris Paul while being quick enough to stay with other quick PG's on defense.

Will you all at least agree that we are a PF away from atleast being playoff contenders? I look at Moore's stats and thing that we are losing about 10-15 points, and 7-10 or so rebounds from our PF rotation. It's a pretty big gaping hole when Moore is out there for 35 minutes putting up 5 points, and 3 boards..

Once this issue is solved we will be that much better.

Ron Artest would kill your offense.

Not true. Mike D's teams will always score.
Anyone that can run,shoot,or pass will have success here. If one isn't willing to score,or can't score in this offense, you won't get minutes.
The system is flawed however. The half-court oriented post-season bears that out.

Not a question of whether Ron can score -- question of whether anybody else can while Ron is doing his scoring. He likes to dominate the ball, and goes through long stretches where he does not pass. Neither is likely an ideal situation for a team with Steve Nash.

I won't question that.You guys know his tendency's more than i....however,if Artest is a smart NBA player,he'll realize like many others that you'll get your touches playing alongside Nash. As long as you can get to your spots. Nash could probably lead the league in scoring if he wanted to,but he knows thats not the best way to get "W"s. I don't believe that Artest has ever played with a PG the caliber of Nashy. Bibby included.

No I don't think Ron does get that idea, at all. Just doesn't seem to be in his make-up.
