Ouch !!!

2. Once you have posted your predictions, you cannot edit them. So, if you select a player and later find out that player will not play, don't attempt to change your prediction.

My chance to gain some ground .... I need all the chances I can get !!!

Get better Peja ....

I think Peja's lack of assertiveness is due to two things, his inherent respect for a game that is supposed to be one of skill and finesse and the fact that his talent was depended upon so much by previous teams he played for that he didn't want to get in foul trouble and hurt the team.
Oh hooey! Great players know how to adjust. If Peja has the desire to be one, he should too-needs to.

define "playing"
Just having Pedja on the court makes a difference in how the other team defends against us. They may know Pedja's not playing particularly well, but they still can't take a chance and leave him open.

In my opinion, it takes a whole team to win OR lose a game. In this case, Pedja may not have had the best numbers but he did do things out there - some that made it to the scoreboard and others that didn't - that contributed to the win. It was an ugly game but the Kings won. And I believe it counts just the same as a blowout in the win-loss column.

Does every game not only have to be a win but a perfect win where everyone gets triple-doubles, the bench gets quality minutes and at least one player hits career highs (although that last would probably draw criticism because if he did, it might be at the expense of another player's stats)...

Pedja contributed. The sarcastic comment is uncalled for, IMHO.

It was made before the game.

There is no way we win tonight without Pedja. One guy Kings do not have adequate replacement for at the moment.

Well, I won't pick nits but it was made after the game had begun... ;)

Sorry, piksi. I retract my last sentence.

VF21 - I have always respected your opinions (back under a new name after an absence due to move to East Coast) Anyways, no retraction necessary IMHO. I recall an interview with Webb this summer that caused a lot of angst. Among many other things, he said that the Kings were an ensemble cast - everyone with their role and their mutual success intertwined (well something to that effect). So Webb passes more this year, the team now expects that and moves more w/o the ball, Pedja is one of the benficiaries, plays his role, and now he get's hammered in the popular opinion poll for it????? Almost without exception in 21 games, Pedja is playing his role for the success of the team IMO. Now if we were 6-15 I might understand the criticism's. Basically everyone is playing their role. I for one would rather have TEAM success than the superstar-de-jour that fades tomorrow night.
