Our FO/Ownership Has Let The Fans Down

I think I have been pretty outspoken on our off-season moves! We have used a good chunk of our capspace and did not get better in the process! Hey who needs a shotblocker everyone just needs to pick up a bit on defence!

Pretty much predicted what would happen! No offensive system and no defence, no shotblocking, no size!

Another lottery pick on the way!

You're right, you haven't. I've seen you telling others to not overreact. I agree. The problems imo, were apparent before opening night. I can only laugh at how others completely change their tunes from one game to another.
I've also been waiting for the problems I pointed out to surface, and KF's predictably start howling about them.

I don't know why everyone was so deludedly optimistic during the offseason?
Maybe it's the nature of fandom...?

Yeah, that shotblocker sure would help with the fact that the Kings are the 2nd worst passing team in the league right averaging 13 assists per game. hahaha. Defense has actually been really good but the offense makes the defense suffer and the team hopeless. In time they'll know how to use Hayes and Cousins passing ability, if not, they'll find a coach that does.

And wait a minute here, the Kings were going to make the step up and out of the lotto this year? Man, when did these predictions start coming up? Heh, must have missed that one.

3 GAMES FOLKS. 3 GAMES.

I'm still optimistic if Westphal stops with the shenanigans of the first two games, plays his starters starters minutes, and keeps that system as priority number one in practice.

Typical....since you like stats so much, what are the Kings ranked in league in point allowed in the paint?! I thought your love child Hayes was supposed help with that? ;) I seem to remember him getting killed in 2 of the 3 games and even against Lakers its more of a case that Gasol is still in the off-season mode.

Don't get me wrong, I like Hayes and he was the right signing as an "addition" to the frontcourt we finished the season with and not a replacement or our defensive force.

While offence has been a struggle, we are still averaging 92.3ppg and that is including that disaster against Portland but allowing 100ppg. As bad as our offence has looked, we can't stop anyone because our defence as a whole has sucked worse than in the Brad Miller - Shareef Abdur-Rahim days and thats saying something.

Defense has actually been really good
Again, points allowed in paint?

You must have been in exodus for too long then. Lets see, what is it now, 3 or 4 years that we have been hearing the off-season 2011 is the year where we make the big splash and spend out cap space and get back to the play offs. Every trade that brought on longer contracts was about shedding salary for the "summer 2011" yet the off-season came and went, as did half the cap space and we are no better as a team than we were at the end of last season.

Our front office and our ownership set those targets, not me! Now that they are obviously not loving up to them, its back to the bag of excuses!

if we have a bad season (which no one wants) and we get a good pick then we will have a really good team

Haha I feel like we've said that for far too long.I think at this point I'd rather spend money on a seasoned (and good) Vet than a top draft pick. We need leadership and experience on this team, not more rookies that take time to gel.
