Open Letter to Geoff P.

Well... This is an open letter to Geoff P. regarding his actions thus far this season. I understand Vlade leaving and Christie trade was ok but Webber... OUR MVP...

I just dont understand it Geoff... WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!?

As far as I see it, we just gave away our season, we may make the playoffs, we may not but we surley wont go as far as we would have with Webb.

Im a HUGE Webber fan, and always will be and this trade really really hurt me as a fan. It was completely unexpected and unrewarded (not a whole lot in return).

Is there any logic behind this besides dumping Webbs contract? How can this benefit us later... are the Maloofs and Geoff going to pay up the big money to get multiple poeple in the offseason to make another championship run or are they in rebuilding mode now?

Ok, some people need to chill.
Bricklayer and I are here - we will take care of posts that go over the edge.

Up until tonight, I always quoted "In Petrie We Trust." Well, that ended... Thank you Geoff Petrie for ripping out the hearts of hundreds of thousands of loyal Kings fans. You took away not ONE, but TWO of the best parts of our team. I hope you won't regret it; but I know I already do.

And, tonight, this Kings fan became a little less devoted, a little less enthusiastic and a LOT less interested in ever spending any money on anything pertaining to the Kings again.

I'll tell you what happened. Tonight GP made a choice. He chose to dump the player that this winning franchise was built around, in favor of a wuss that cannot do anything offensively unless someone sets a screen for him. And the worst part is that he did not get anything back for him. In Petrie I trust has now become "In Petrie I trust to make stupid decisions if that is what it takes for him to keep his boy"
ironic, isnt it?

whats even more ironic, and slightly amusing considering the circumstances, is the fact that piksi almost seemed to be showing a bit of optimism in the post you were referring to.

All i gotta say is..Petrie, you better get your butt on that phone and make some more call and push this into a 3 way trade and get something else back. Damn, at this point i woudlnt even object to Kurt Thomas and whatever knicks has to offer. Anything is better than what we get back right now

Geoff, I hate to sound bitter, actually no I take that back: I LOVE to sound bitter: you suck a**. You had better be working out something real big here, because you're running out of time to redeem yourself for this in my book. I really think you're making a mistake. Thanks for slapping me in the face.

I've never thought Petrie was perfect, the Nick Anderson and Jon Barry moves were bad, I still think the Mobley trade doesn't help the team at all.

I just don't know HOW this helps the team further down the road. Corliss is nice, I was just talking about how he improved in another thread, but he doesn't equal Webber and the whole three don't equal Webber, let alone Webber and Barnes. So you move the contracts? For what? You find a way to dump the contracts? Who wants to come here without Webber here?

Don't say, and I mean Petrie along witht he Maloofs, that you're comitted to winning a championship and then pull this.

I had thought hte Kings couldn't go young and be quick with Webber on the floor, but you have to get MORE for Webber.

Are you guys serious ? You guys think Chris was traded to suit Peja's needs ?

If that is indeed why Petrie traded Chris, then he is on some serious sh*t.

My belief is that Chris was traded for the same reason as Doug. There's only so much a players legs can take, and Chris' were pretty shaky. I hate this trade, and I wish Chris never left just as much as I didnt want Doug and Vlade to leave ... but saying he left because of Peja is absolute crock.
