Online reading

I'm trying to find a site where I can subscribe & read books (mostly fiction) online. Let me know if anyone knows a good site with large selections and fair price (I'll take free as well ).

I'd love to hear your thoughts about digital books? I've seen them but never tried, hesitant to purchase one.

You mean a monthly subscription to access online books?

BUSINESS MODEL!!!

I can't think of one, I write all over my books anyway. (You should see the slander I wrote all over the margins of Huckleberry Finn about ol' Huck Fin's pa :D)

I was just researching the new Barnes & Noble Nook reader device (I think I'll get one today), and they have a storefront / app that allows you to download and read more books than one human could ever read. Powered by their database, AT&T (no subscription required), and google books (which provides most public domain books for free). I believe you can download their B&N book store / viewer for free for your laptop. You gotta look into it. I literally just read up on it today.

I hope you see this before you go:

I was not terribly impressed with the Nook after I went and checked it out. It's just not a very intuitive device (I mean to say that it could be a bit more user friendly, the interface is a handful). However, I am a fan of their PC reader and eBooks now. I have downloaded over 26 digital classic books for free, and a copy of Stephen King's On Writing for 6 bucks. Pretty awesome.

I think it better to forgo the digital readers until Apple's iPad forces some serious improvements via competition.
