Ok back on the subject. Offer supposed to be lakers #2 and Randle? Wouldn't that fly in the face of Karl's need for vets. That's basically an all rookie frontcourt with randle having only played one game. Do we keep the 6th? Giving us 3 1st round rookies?

Russel and Randle doesn't sound terrible.
I say that's not enough to even turn my head. Unfortunately, the Lakers don't have another unencumbered first rounder until 2021. So basically the best offer they can make is #2, Randle, Clarkson, #27 (from Hou), and a 2021 unprotected. And I think we lose that trade. (Edited to indicate that the Hou pick is 27, not 28)

It all depends on how good randle is, which nobody knows.
The only team that has enough for Boogie (no one does) if he is demanding a trade is Phili. Noel, they take someone 3rd for us, We get Lakers pick in 2016 and beyond, We get next years' Phili pick, and they can go Embiid, Cuz, and crap into the Eastern conference finals for the next 8 years. I'm not saying we should do it, I'm saying that's about all I would take if our hand was forced (and Karl better be fired if it comes to that). Even that could really work poorly for us since Cuz could probly get Phili into the EC playoffs by himself, and the Lakers could sign the world and be decent next year (doubtful), but at least you've sent Boogie far far away where he only punishes you twice a year, and loaded up on bullets to hopefully hit the lottery again on a talent somewhat close to boogie and hope to build around it right this time with no malloofing or weaseling.
Well, it's basically Cousins for Okafor (or Russell?), Randle, a backup PG, and two high 20s picks, one in the deep future. Randle or the #2 pick has to turn into a legitimate star (not just a quality starter) for us to begin to think we broke even. So yeah, it depends on how good Randle/#2 is, which is two rolls of the dice, one with an injury history already.
If I'm going to give up one of the best centers in the game on a 3-year team-friendly contract, I can't do it for two rolls of the dice.
We probably lose in any Cousins deal.....we just won't get back value in a deal....BUT ....Okafor is going to be a star. He's capable of coming in and being a force from the start.....wouldn't shock me if he was close to a 20 and 10 guy. Add in Randle who won't suck and then I'd want Clarkson at a minimum. Add in your pick at 6 of a Mudiay and you got a backcourt that can attack a young center who could be a star.....not the end of the world. Might not win a ton of games at first but...it's not we win anyway.
But it would be incredibly hard to see Cousins in a Laker uniform. Hard to even fathom that.

Nitpicking, but I don't know if a broken tibia counts as injury history. That's not a joint or ligament connector. I don't think that increases the risk of re-injury to any measurable extent.
Here's the biggest problem with this disaster of a situation between Karl and Cousins:
If you're forced to trade Cousins then your only real option IMO is to blow things up and rebuild. And you do that by trading Boogie for draft picks, young players and cap space. You'd also deal Gay at the same time since he's in his prime now and is far too inefficient as the primary scorer. So Cousins to Philly for Noel, #3 a future 1st, a 2nd or two and maybe the rights to Dario Saric. And then maybe Gay to the Heat for Luol Deng (contract runs through next season) and #10.
I hate the idea of trading Boogie but if push comes to shove, that's the route you have to take. BUT George Karl is absolutely the wrong coach for a rebuild. He's on his last coaching gig before retirement and he has a long history of refusing to play rookies.
So if the team is going to be forced to deal Cousins, Karl is going to be the guy pushing really hard to get established veterans. And his touchstone is going to be the Carmelo Anthony trade. For anyone who doesn't remember that deal was this:
Denver received Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks 2014 first-round draft pick, the Warriors' 2012 second-round pick, the Warriors' 2013 second-round pick and $3 million in cash.
New York got Carmelo Anthony along with Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman.
Karl will want to trade Cousins for current NBA players, not draft picks or rookies. Which likely means just enough talent (under Karl's coaching) to reach the playoffs for a couple seasons before everyone realizes there isn't a star player to carry the Kings and Karl is ready to retire anyway. To me it's a non-starter.
It also puts the Kings between a rock and a hard place. And potentially faced with the decision of firing yet another coach rather than give in to his wishes and damage the team's long term potential.
Vlade has his work cut out for him.

That is exactly why Vlade needs to only listen to himself and have his OWN vision in mind and not Karl's vision...he will put the roster together and you have Karl figure out what to do with those pieces. You do not let him get involved in what you want to build long term, he is only the present and not the future.

There is no way that we get that much in your proposed Philly deal....Noel and the 3rd by itself would probably be as far as teams would go....maybe throw in the Saric angle as well. I put this in another thread that we would never get value back but Noel and Russell would be major pieces to build off. Especially Russell. I think he's going to be a star. But the Lakers with the pick at 2 gets us Okafor and whatever else goes with it. Okafor is going to be a star. If the Kings are at the point where they MUST trade Cuz, I can get behind Okafor. I don't think I can get behind some Lawson, Faried, Chamdler short lived deal.
I think your on point with a deal involving young pieces...Karl would have to go. Hmmmm...if Cuz goes so does Karl unless we pull back to all-star vets and I just don't think there is a deal like that out there. Cuz and Karl need to co-exist.
Cousins is the best center in the NBA and the star player Morey has been trying to get. I think Noel, #3 and one of their many other 1st rounders is more than fair. And quite honestly I think Russell has the highest bust potential of any player in the top 5, maybe the top 10. But yeah, the overall point is that if the Kings decide to trade Cousins it should be for a rebuild, not a quick "fix". But that Karl is absolutely the wrong coach for a rebuild.

Yea I just saw that too. It would be very interesting if that's who we end up with. From his workout, he looks every bit as advertised by his supporters.
From his interviews, he sounds like a smart guy who will work hard. His bro is an ex pro and has instilled good values in him.
If he can add 20 lbs within his first 2 seasons, he can become scary good in this league. His shooting stroke, handles for a 7 footer, overall skills at his age is very good. Again, we don't have much to go on. But a potential star at #6 is very worth the gamble.
The question is, what would vlade do if wcs, porzingis and mudiay are all available?
