Heh -- only on a Kings board could "All the Way!" be the plurality.
I know^, but whoever the person was who voted for getting to the Finals and then losing... thats just wrong!! I'm not sure this town could take that, I mean knowing the Kings it would be in overtime of a game 7 when they lost.

I would rather lose in the finals than get knocked out early....wouldn't you?

Pssst? Heuge? Don't tell anybody... I was confessing. It was me who gave the single vote to out in the Finals.

;)

the kings need to learn how to win on the road again, and really really fast, if theyre gonna go anywhere in the playoffs. the win today was great...alotta fun to watch. but are we really all that surprised? we destroyed a lottery-bound team at home. no big deal. it shoulda happened that way. but in the playoffs, any team the kings play is gonna be well above .500 with homecourt advantage. that said, i think the kings will pull their collective heads outta their collective rears and start playing some consistent ball against tough opponents.

Well like what Hubie Brown said... "With Brad Miller and Bobby Jackson back on the team, they can beat any team in the league. "

I think Phoenix is a lot more athletic than us......Nash would be in the paint all series long with Mike trying to guard him....Joe Johnson and Q-Rich would light up Cat and Peja too but I also like our offensive matchups like Mike vs. Nash but I think Marion might guard Peja a lot and thats a tough match for Peja. We would have a definite size advantage if Brad was healthy though. Gotta admit it would be a fun series for the fans of offense!

even without brad.... well if marion guards peja who guards thomas? qrich/johnson? kenny would average 40 a game with that match up.... the mavs and suns are a better match up than ending up with a easy trip to the spurs in the second... especially if seattle is healthy.... give me 2 no defense teams any day than the spurs, possibly without miller and bobby....

Its gonna be tough no matter which way we go! I think Marion would guard Peja only when he got hot. Probably see Steven Hunter come in at C and move Amare to PF. Not like it matters I'm more worried about Seattle/Dallas right now! I'm not sold on Dallas and Seattle is scary just cause I don't know what to expect! All I know is that this years playoffs should be really exciting. Plus Denver could knock out PHX or S.A. if they played.

I Can't Do This ....

.... maybe at the end of the regular season.

or

One Round at-a-time ....

WHY ???? ... because there are TOO MANY UNKNOWNS.

Adelman doesn't even know what players to put on his Playoff Roster.

Now ... if you labeled this as a 'WISHFUL THINKING POLL" ... knowing Brad and B-Jax would be back for the 1st round and both 100% ready to go ... we be goin' to the FINALS !!!

I was thinking the same thing. Can we redo it when we know exactly who we're playing and who be available? Things could be very different if Brad's back but we just don't know yet.

I think our destiny in the playoffs depends on how quickly Brad can be integrated back into the team. And I purposely didn't include Bobby because I'm not sure he will be ready to go, or that if he is he will be 100% effective. Even before he was hurt he was being beaten off the dribble by a step on a regualar basis and I think Eddie can give us much of what Bobby does although, given my druthers, I'd like to have as many shells in my gun as I can going to war. The question then becomes who will not be on the playoff roster? The no brainer is Daniels but that still leaves us with 13 and, to tell the truth, I'm not sure how many players a team can carry on their playoff roster.

I had to go with losing in the Western Semis. IF we keep rolling (big IF) like this into the playoffs, then we just might roll over our first round opponent, be it Dallas or Seattle. Anything further than that is just wishful thinking. I hopaihopa i'm wrong.

I'll do another one when the regular season ends! We'll compare results.

According to the results of this poll - our only concern is getting to the finals. Once we get there - it will be a piece of cake ;)

Shame on You ! ;)

where am I going to get the lottery numbers now ?

maybe the lakers and the wolves can help me with that :D

Shhhhhh!!! You promised not to tell. ;)

As of right now, there are 37 members who are bigger homers than I am. I did not think that was possible. :p

I did not vote - because I can't

I can not vote against Kings and realistically I would have to.

If we knew what would happen - there would not be much fun anyways

What happened to the psychic abilities? I thought you were going to tell us who plays who and the score for every game. That would take all the excitement out of it but could alleviate some heart attacks.

Will Kings be spoilers in the coming playoffs?

Everyone, i.e., the media, sports analysts, the King's opponents, are all saying the Kings don't have a chance of winning it all this season. They're all saying, because of the roster changes and injuries to Brad and Bobby, the Kings will need next season to get it's act together. I, for one, think differently. In the last few games, with a number of games playing together already under their belt, the current Kings are getting used to each other. Kenny Thomas' offence is blooming as he blossoms under the Kings' team-concept. Skinner and Williamson are showing the way to better defense. Peja is blossoming, Mike Bibby is getting a rest and very willing to let the other shine. Adelman has finally opened up to letting the bench get some minutes when the starters are down, with the resulting new "semi-bench mob" of House, Songaila, Mo Evans, and Mobley/Peja beating opponents with intensity, high-percentage shots, and execution, setting up the starters to finish the job.

Caveats
With all this on our side, what can go wrong? Well, will the current team be able to handle Yao Ming/McGrady, Novitsky/Finley, Shaq/Wade, Nash/Amare? Not by themselves, certainly, but if they play together, I think they can.

What about Brad and Bobby coming back in and gumming up the works? Here, I'm pretty sure nothing like that will happen because those guys don't hog the ball or expect the ball like Webber did, thus nullifying the King's much-vaunted team-offense.

So, will the underdog Kings make it all the way this season? Just two words: I believe.

I think with recent injuries and turnarounds that anything is possible, however, realistically I don't think we'll make it out of the 2nd round (we should beat either Dallas or Seattle), but it also depends on the final seedings and injuries. Love to be proven wrong on that, however. :)

We should do this again on April 21st. Two games against the Suns with our new lineup could tell us LOTS heading into the postseason....

41 people think they'll win it all??? The majority? Wow. That is really surprising.

I voted "Lose in Semis" just because it seems the most likely, but I wouldn't be surprised if this team tanked it in Round 1 or, conversely, played their best basketball at the right time a la Detroit and pulled off a miracle. I just went with my gut, and I guess it's better to be pleasantly surprised rather than disappointed. 2nd Round exit has been my prediction since the beginning of the year, really.
