Congrats to Omri! Kings are represented really well this AS weekend.

I'd rather see him compete in the 3 point contest, but this is still sweet.

I don't know if its an honor or an insult to be asked to participate in such an inane thing, but I guess congrats. Guess that means I will have to watch that...thing. Was going to ignore it just on principle much like I normally do Reke's Shooting Stars thing.

haha, I agree. Did you watch it last year? It was about as entertaining as watching players slowly walk to the free throw line. I'd rather have that kid who beat Lebron in HORSE in Venice, CA play.

only good things can come out of this all star weekend, i mean maybe Tyreke and Omri will come back with some more confidnce, and passion to play, and it will give the whole team the boost they need so much.
i have to say a good word on Tyreke, that unlike K Mart who sees no body and throws the ball like crazy even if he misses ten in a row, i saw latly (after i criticized Tyreke), that he (Tyreke) stopped forcing him self on the game, and if he is in a bad shooting day, he pass the ball more and picks his shots.
to me it shows he is a smart kid who understands the game.

I think he needs to attack more actually. He seems to fall asleep at the wheel sometimes and becomes too content with dishing it off to one of our bricktastic wings so they can miss a three.

I think the point is that it's always a lot funnier to play HORSE than seeing other plays HORSE (altough both aren't the summum of funnyness of course). So (talking bout Omri) if you are yet there...it worth playing it instead of waiting to the game hour.

HORSE can actually be fairly entertaining, but it takes players who practice it to make it entertaining, and basketball it ain't.

Still, no more inane then the 3 pt contest.

Let's see, I am no mathmatician, but...
Omri + Tyreke + Rookie game + HORSE + Shooting Stars
= greater national and international exposure and interest
= greater chance of nationally/internationally televised games
= $1 Beer night at ARCO!

Considerably more inane than the 3pt contest -- that's the best pre-All Star game event. An actual basketball skill and actual comptetion. Woot!

$1 beer night would work better if it was Fat Tire, Newcastle, Sierra Nevada or something else worth consuming. Coors Lite for $1 is still more than it's worth.
