Old Trade Thread (no longer need to post all trades here)

Give me Gordon and Nocioni for Peja and I would do it in a second. Start Gordon and move Bonzi to the three and bring Nocioni off the bench.

Right, between Gordon and Nocioni, you can have all no-defense back court and replace Pedja's dodgy shooting of this year, with a true bricklayer.

Does anybody on this board even watch Bulls? Dang is already _better_ then Pedja, so we are not getting him. Gordon is a gaping hole on defense that makes Bibby look like Bowen. Nocioni is a hustler, I'll give him that. If you want courtside seats to live in fear of your SF - he's your man. He just doesn't do basketball at home or at work. At all.

I am getting VERY tired of the constant and blatant slandering of bricklayers on this board. ;)

I watch, and have watched the Bulls since their pick-up last January. Deng is already better than Peja, I'd say. But that doesn't mean we couldn't get him, especially since there were a couple roamings about it.

Nocioni, a true bricklayer? The guy shoots .49 from three, and 44% from field. Not a bad FT shooter either.

Nice try. ;)

Look at the line above (2004/5 season).

Don't get me wrong, I like Noce. He's carrying the torch for all of us "soft" foreigners. He dishes out the hardest non-flagrant fouls in the league and dives all over that floor like a man posessed. We can do with some of that. But I will be very surprised if his statline is anywhere near .49/44 at the end of the year.

I will give him that he seems to be playing smarter this year, especially since he is getting some time at PF, too.

Like I told you before: it takes one to know one. :)

Maybe I should have said "prangijas" (Serbian equivalent)?

Nocioni can play for my team anytime.

Actually just about any of the recent Argentinians -- they all play with a lot of fire and effort. Maybe its a cultural thing (or at least the basketball culture down there).

No, it is not limited to Bball. Just ask soccer/football fans. It's often refered to as "Argy-bargy" by british tabloids.

That's my point, if we want a tough Argentinian baller, we can draft one, no need to give anything up. With our softies, my fear would be that Noce would turn on them and start slapping them around. Like Artest while with Bulls - he intimidated his teammates more then the opponent.

Wasn't trying anything, was just going off the stats and the stuff on the court. :)

But he's certainly shooting the ball well so far, don't really see that changing too much.

Who knows what this is, but on PTI they just had a topic on the Pacers with the sub-title: "Time for a trade?"

Talking about O'Neal/Artest. Can catch it again later on ESPN News at 6:30 (East).

They said J.O. might be traded because Larry Bird loves artest. If he is we need to take advantage of that...:D

I'm getting excited!

I wouldn't get too terribly excited about the PTI guys suggesting that Indiana should trade Jermaine. That's one of those believe it when I see it things.

they also said J.O. for K.G. straight up. LOL>

Well, I think where it came from was from Larry's quotes in the Indy Star today.

They didn't say have to.

I just found it interesting.

If JO is available, you don't trade Miller. JO is exactly the kind of guy you want working alongside Miller (as evidenced by their success in Indy)

Bibby/SAR/Martin for JO/Tinsley works on realgm.

Same for JO/Jasikevicus.

No way Indy would bite, but you never know.

Ok i think this might be a realistic trade and would make the Kings better defensivly for sure while keeping the outside shooting. Tell me what you guys think.

Sacramento Trade Breakdown
Outgoing
Peja Stojakovic
6-10 SF from Yugoslavia
17.5 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.4 apg in 37.3 minutes
Kenny Thomas6-7 PF from New Mexico
6.5 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 1.3 apg in 17.7 minutes
Brian Skinner6-9 PF from Baylor
2.4 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 0.3 apg in 9.8 minutes
Incoming
Lorenzen Wright6-11 C from Memphis
5.5 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1.2 apg in 25.9 minutes
Mike Miller6-8 SG from Florida
10.6 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 2.4 apg in 27.0 minutes
Shane Battier6-8 SF from Duke
12.7 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 1.9 apg in 34.9 minutes
Change in team outlook: +2.4 ppg, +6.3 rpg, and +1.5 apg.

Memphis Trade Breakdown
Outgoing
Lorenzen Wright6-11 C from Memphis
5.5 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1.2 apg in 25.9 minutes
Mike Miller6-8 SG from Florida
10.6 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 2.4 apg in 27.0 minutes
Shane Battier6-8 SF from Duke
12.7 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 1.9 apg in 34.9 minutes
Incoming
Peja Stojakovic6-10 SF from Yugoslavia
17.5 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.4 apg in 37.3 minutes
Kenny Thomas6-7 PF from New Mexico
6.5 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 1.3 apg in 17.7 minutes
Brian Skinner6-9 PF from Baylor
2.4 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 0.3 apg in 9.8 minutes
Change in team outlook: -2.4 ppg, -6.3 rpg, and -1.5 apg.

Successful Scenario
Due to Sacramento and Memphis being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Sacramento and Memphis had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

So now you could start Shane Battier, bring Mike Miller off the bench

Starting lineup
Bibby
Reef
Bonzi
Battier
Miller

Bench
Hart
Mike Miller
Wright
Garcia
Martin

And the Grizzlies would do this because ???

Just look at their record. They would have to be retarded to do it and Jerry West is too good of a GM for something like that

Jermaine would probably give us a shot in the arm, although he's always struck me as a playoff disappointment.

I'm still kind of stuck on the idea of getting Paul Pierce somehow. Not even sure how good of a year he's having, and he certainly wouldn't help much with our rebounding problems...
