Seeing that Ben Simmons is probably out of reach for the Kings, the Kings may target another Philly player, Tobias Harris in a trade. Philly may try to rehab Simmons and the best way to do that is to give him a 3 point gunner like Buddy next to him in the back court. Harris has a massive contract, but Buddy and Bagley's contracts basically are a wash for the Kings, salary wise.
I would propose a Buddy Hield and Marvin Bagley for Tobias Harris. Why would the Kings do it? The Kings get a quality, All-Star level player for two players that clearly don't want to be a King. The Kings would have a versatile 3 point shooting front court with Harrison Barnes and Tobias Harris. As long as the Kings can re-sign Holmes, the Kings would have a pretty nice starting 5.
Why Philly does it? They get a former 3 point champion next to Ben Simmons and a power forward in Bagley that has upside and an improved 3 point shooting to open the lanes for Simmons and Embiid. Plus, Philly gets out under the massive contract Harris and save millions over the life of the players contracts.
The Kings would have a potent starting line up:
PF Tobias Harris / Metu
SF Harrison Barnes / Woodward/Harkless / #9 pick
C Richaun Holmes / Jones
SG Tyrese Haliburton / Davis
PG D'Arron Fox / Wright
