Nuggets and Bucks could trade, Nene for Mason ?

On Chad Fords 1 pm chat he said that the Nuggets and Bucks might do a trade that would send Nene to Milwaukee for Desmond Mason.

"Calvin (Memphis, TN): Chad, what exactly are the Bucks thinking with the signing of Bobby Simmons? The guy wanted a starting gig and Mil. already has 2 quality G/F's locked up (Redd and Des Mason). Wouldn't they have been smarter to go after a low post scorer like Shareef Abdur Rahim or even Stro Swift?"

"Chad Ford: They tried. Abdur Rahim turned down a 5 year, $47 million offer to play there. By signing Simmons, the team now has the flexibility to move Desmond Mason if the right deal comes along. One possibility might be Denver. George Karl loves Mason and might be willing to swap Nene to get him. Nene would be a perfect fit in Milwaukee. The only problem for Denver (and it's a big one) is that the Nuggets wouldn't have back-up for Marcus Camby. I think they'd have to find a viable back-up first before they could make a trade like that. "

I wonder why the Nuggets didnt want Mobley then ? I wonder if we have something they would like to trade for....

I doubt that this will happen since they didnt want to trade Nene in hter first place and I wouldnnt think they would want to trade him now.

Well, Mason is younger and has more upside than Cat (although he really isn;t gettign THAT much better). But if the idea is to get more outside shooting, Mason woudln't be the guy. Wish we could get into that mix, but unfortunately short of maybe Peja we don't have anybody that EITHER team would want, so we couldn't really help.

uh..oh...I feel an instant youth movement plan coming on...here we go:

Trade Peja, Brad and Kenny in a three way deal, Peja to Denver, Brad and Kenny to Milwaulkee (and maybe Boynkins as well from Denver to balance things and give them PG insurance), get back Bogut, Mason & Nene, then do Alexander's trade of Bibby + change to Chicago and get back Chandler and Heinrich. Voila! :)

C - Bogut
PF - Nene
SF - Mason
OG - Wells
PG - Heinrich
6th - Chandler
7th - Garcia or Martin

Now THERE's a youth movement! (Just screwing around. ;) )

Too good to be true.

The nuggets won't do it. Mobley was better fit for them and they turned it down.

Any team with Chandler as a 6th man has got to be seriously scary. Although I would start Chandler and bring Bogut off the bench, at least for a little while before he can come along fully and adapt to the NBA. Or start Chandler at PF over Nene. That's a scary team for the next decade. Maybe derails LeBron's title hopes a la Jordan over Utah? If only..

LoL....

be careful Brick. dont want to sacrafice that huge bank account of yours ;):p

id say forget the chicago trade. keep bibby. lol
