Interview with Vasillis "Dimitri" Mykonos':
On the new team- "They're great guys ya know. Sometimes we kick each other around in practice but it's all in good fun. Most of the time we're kicking back shooting 300-400 shots a day in the practice facility. Occasionally, D (Mad D), comes and brings us some grub from In-N-Out or Taco Bell-Now that's the good stuff. It's been a team thing to have the youngest rookie bring doughnuts before practices, but D's been so generous in bringing us food; so we decided to lay low on the tradition. Coach gets mad sometimes, but hey, as long as we keep this on the down-low, we got it good. What the coach doesn't know can't hurt us.
On being the only "Euro" on the team- "Uhh...I dunno what to say. It's been a real blessing to come out here and play pro ball. Back in Europe, we would play in the little "hoods" and chill with our boys. Over here, I suppose, it's much different than over there. Kids here are wearing Nike and Adidas tank tops, while back home we get the year 1999 fall style DKNY shirt and play with our father's old work shoes. I guess D, and me stick like glue. Of course he's the one who played with Mr. Yao Ming back in China, while I, played with Mr. Vasilis Xanthopoulos.
On the various fines the NBA is giving- "I prefer not to comment on the current situation. I might be fined myself.

On Mad D's behavior- "D is by far the most enthusiastic guy I've ever played with. This guy has mad scoring skills and is faster than Tony Parker and Earl Boykins on steroids. Of course some of the team members are jealous...That's why we have haters. Pretty soon he's gonna be like 50 cent and have death threats; By-golly.

Who's the most injury prone on this team? - "As of now, I cannot really tell. I've seen all these guys play on the court for about 5-6 games already but time will tell when these guys will get injured. For all we know, I could be
sitting on the bench in crutches after last night's game. It's always a battlefield out there.
How do you prepare for games? - "If you really want to know the truth, I like to wash my lucky ducky underpants the night before so I can wear them on game days. I can't go on the road without them.
Do you have any pre-game superstitions? -No, not really. Although the team does do a little dance before the game. Otherwise, I'm not really into superstitions other than what my grandmother told me when I was a child.
Any last comments to the fans? -I'm single?

I actually got a game through!! Kings @ Suns Records: Kings 4-1 Suns 3-2
1st Quarter
Kings 23 Suns 20
The first quarter was actually very slow for the Kings offensivley. On defense we were doing great, but our offense was just plain bad. Miles Clipper had a bad 1st quarter, but made shots later on in the game. Our first basket was by Vasillis with a long 2. But after that, the Suns went on a 8-0 run. At the buzzer, Mad D made a 3 pointer to give us the 3 point lead.
2nd Quarter

The Suns came back in the second and tied the game at the half. It was a similar quarter to last quarter. Suprisingly, it was a low scoring game so far for thse both offensive teams. Bad shooting % for the Kings this half. there was a nice Sportscenter highlight when Fever catched an alley oop pass and dunked it with style. All in all, good thing that the kIngs stayed close in a road game.

Suns started to get momentum back.They gained a small lead in the half, whihc is bad news, Phoenix is a streaky team, and when they get hot, they are HOT. Miles Clipper started to heat up in this quarter making baskets as well as Sactown Fever. We needed a good start to the 4th quarter to win this game.
4th Quarter
The Kings needed a strong start, which they didn't get. At one point we were down by 10. We started to get close, but then Steve nash makes the basket and gets sent to the line. Phoenix was really hot in the 4th making many baskets. MAd D got what he wanted, so I put him at PG for a couple of minutes and shot many threes over Nash and kept making them. The Kings were down 6 wiith 11 seconds to go, so I stole the ball with 1.2 seconds left. called a timeout, Vassillis shot a three and made it. The final score was:

I got through 2 games today. This is the first one verse the Nuggets at Arco Arena. Records: Kings 4-2 Denver 4-2
1st Quarter
Kings 23 Denver 11
Started the game with energy and defense for the Kings. there was a nice highlight that Mad D got an alley-oop and dunked it with style! We had great offense, moving the ball, and great defense with steals and blocks. One of our best quarters yet!
2nd Quarter
Kings 56 Denver 38
Similar quarter to the last one. Great offense again. Sha was making huge baskets and making a lot of them. We builed our lead more by 6 more points. We had great blocks and defnse forom Mad D. He was having a block party! Fever was also doing it on both sides. Defnseivly and offensivly.

3rd Quarter

Another GREAT quarter by the Kings!! Again, Sha was making baskets, and now Jackson was making a baskets. Lots of player had great games verse the Nuggets! Vasillis was doing great defnse too as well as Mad D still. built our lead more by 4 more points making it a 22 point game, Kings lead.
4th Quarter
What can I say more? We played a great game with great contributions from Sha and Fever. They played their hearts out!!

1st Quarter

What a great first quarter. The difference bewteen the score doesn't help say this, but this quarter was one of the best quarters we have ever played so far. We were makings many shots like Mad D. He had around 8 points in the first quarter. Defense by Vasillis also helped us! Our first points was by Bball for a long 2 from an assist Daley.
2nd Quarter
Kings 40 Bulls 48
From our one of the best quarters ever, to one of the worst quarters ever by the Kings. Many turnovers, and offense was just terrible. We didnt score till 4 minutes passed by. And only 2 assists in the second quarter. Defense wasn't that bad but, nonetheless, still bad. We lost our 6 point lead and were trailing by 8 now. Bad way to end the first half.
Key Player fo the Half: Danny Herberholz 8 pts, and 4 stls
3rd Quarter
Kings 68 Bulls 67
We got our lead back, but now the difference is only one.We moved the ball more and defnsivly stepped it up big time. The only thing now is to do is to keep up our small margin.Mad was still giving ua a lot of offense as always. Also, Danny Herberholz, got many steals on the dfensive end.
4th Quarter
Close game in teh end. We started to stetch putr lead in the begginning, but Chicago kept getting closer, and closer. Early in the 4th, Twiz injured her toe. Not good news for the Kings. Still though, they didn't have much time to beat the Kings. The KIngs are not going to lose verse the Kings at Arco Arena. No way. Great contributions by Mad D and Danny herberholz!

Both teams played hard. We need to take better care of the ball and really need to start gang rebounding...Twix is out yes but we'll hold down the fort til he gets back

Miles Clipper:
It was a good win. We're gonna miss Twix. That toe injury was ugly, dude. It poked clear out of the shoe, man. I almost hurled.
On his performance so far:
Well, I'd like to do better. I need to step up the boards and take a little better care of the ball. I'm working on that and if I can get someone like 6th to help, I should be able to step it up a notch.
It was a good win. We're gonna miss Twix. That toe injury was ugly, dude. It poked clear out of the shoe, man. I almost hurled.

Well, I'd like to do better. I need to step up the boards and take a little better care of the ball. I'm working on that and if I can get someone like 6th to help, I should be able to step it up a notch.

On Team Slumps: Of course some of us guys are in slumps. Take me for example: Back in the Euroleague, I'm known to have 15 points a game with 4 blocks and 5 rebounds. It's an adjustment the whole team has to make. In europe, the courts are significantly smaller. Well at least the line markings are. It's fairly hard to be running your butt off with these 7 foot Americans. Good Grief. Yao Ming of the Houston Rockets almost stepped on me a couple nights ago!

Another home game to watch their beloved Kings play basketball. Kings are playing Memphis. Records: Memphis 7-1 Kings 6-2 .Twix missed her first game.
1st Quarter
Kings 27 Memphis 22
The Kings got the tip. Sha was in a double team so he passed it out to Vasillis for the 18 ft shot which was our first points. We started good offensively but not too well on defense. We had to sometimes go to a 2-3 zone. That didn't work either. I told the players to step it up on the defensive side in the next quarter.
2nd Quarter
Kings 48 Memphis 48
The Kings couldn't step it up on defense and this time not even very well on offense. Many turnovers by the Kings and couldn't keep the leather in their hands. We were just glad that we were tied at the end of the half.

3rd Quarter

Memphis took a 6 point lead heading into the 4th quarter which means bad things. We till didn't do any damage on defnse. Our offense was OK, but our defense was what we needed. Good quarters by miles Clipper and Vasillis who helped us a little bit. Heading into the 4th, we needed defense or we would probably lose the game. Thanks to Jesus he cut the lead by 3, by making a 3 at the buzzer!
4th Quarter
It was a close game in the end, but only one team came out with a win. The Kings started out really slow, and they were down as many as 10 with about 2 minutes and 30 seconds left. But then the Kings come back!! The KIngs were down 2 with 1 minute passed by!! We were on a roll!! Danny, and Sha, and Jesus were all doing a great job. But then, Sha gets called for a offensive foul and a couple of turnovers by teh Kings. The crowd doesnt liek it. Memphis goes on a run and gets up by double digits aain. The game was a heartbreaker.
