It nearly March, which means its nearly time for March Madness which OF COURSE means its nearly time for the conference tournaments that help decide NCAA tournament berths.
The Pac-10 tournament is roughly two weeks away...March 2nd-5th in San Jose at the HP Pavillion.
All session tickets are on sale now through TicketMaster and the various schools' ticket offices. I will extremely likely be heading down to San Jose for day two of the tournament Saturday March 3rd, which is a two session day totalling 4 games. It appears that tickets for individual sessions will be going on sale on this Tuesday. If folks are interested in making a field trip of it (which I had suggested a while back) then let me know. I did not renew my season tickets for the tournament this year sadly because I'm not going to be able to take full advantage of an all session pass, but I do still have a ticket rep who I will try to hit up for a group rate on tickets.
We'll probably need at least 10 people to qualify if they sell those, which I'm sure they do, ticket prices for each session currently appear to be $25 each.
As the standings are right now, here are the matchups we'll see that Saturday:
Session 1.
#3 - Cal vs #6 Oregon 11am tip
#7 UCLA or #10 Washington St. vs #2 Arizona St. 1:15 tip (approx)
Session 2.
#8 Arizona or #9 Oregon St. vs. #1 Stanford 5pm tip
#4 USC vs. #5 Washington 7:15 tip (approx)
