Does your opinion of the Jets change now with the news of Aaron Rodgers' unfortunate injury?
No because Rodgers didn't get a chance to play - no sample size to see, Likely the Jets would've been better with Rodgers though, but thats not reality. The fact that they beat the Bills without Rodgers means they are capable of beating any team. Bills are a top team in the league. They had a bad night offensively, but the Jets defense was the main reason why. I don't know who the Jets 3rd string QB is, but they're probably looking to sign a QB off waivers for depth....who was it before, Mike White the other year?

I'd like to see the Jets Cowboys game.

Brock Purdy is a top 10 QB and might end up pushing top 5 by the end of the season.

No, I will not elaborate more.
I am really curious what happens if we uhh... actually play in a competitive game. The only "knock" on him so far is we haven't seen what he looks like when the team is trailing or if we need to get into a shoot-out. Pretty good problem to have though if our QB isn't getting tested because our defense doesn't allow any points and the O just puts up 30+ with ease.

I think you might've forgotten a couple of the games last year.

In the playoffs, we were in a shoot-out with the Seahawks.... until we weren't. 17-16 going into half time with the 9ers down 1 pt. Purdy comes out and scores a TD to put the 9ers up 23-17 with 7mins left in the 3rd quarter. The Seahawks responded with a red zone drive of their own, but Geno Smith got stripped sacked in the 9ers' territory. Purdy capitalizes by leading the 49ers on a 70yd TD drive that put us up 31-17. Our defense forced a punt and on the next Purdy drive, Deebo takes a short pass and gives us a 74yd TD... 9ers up 38-17. Three straight TDs in the span of 1.25 quarters. I am not worried about the 9ers if we have to play behind or get into a shoot-out. We have enough star power.

The Raiders weren't a good team, but we were down 10pts at one point before beating them. Late in the 4th quarter, the Raiders tied up the game at 27-27 with a FG. They left 4:08 left on the clock. The 9ers took back the lead with a TD, leaving 2:17 left on the clock while up 34-27. The Raiders somehow march back and answer with a TD of their own to tie the game up with only 1:11 left. Brock ends up executing an amazing "2-minute" drill to set up Gould with a FG try of 41yds to end and win the game. Gould actually misses, but we end up winning in OT.

After every Purdy win, it feeling like the pundits kept saying Purdy hasn't done x, y, and z. After he proves them wrong, they just move the goal post further. I think it's best we sit back and enjoy the ride. I think he's special. Him and Keegan give off similar feelings... hoping Keegs shows out this year

So the Rodgers injury seems to be renewing calls to rip out all the turf and move to grass but isn't an achilles more of an "it's just bound to happen" injury than a field condition one?

Grass is better and I certainly get from the association football world why turf will be hated even without the injury issues because players will always believe the ball bounces differently but it amazes me they haven't been able to engineer a turf for American football that is safer than grass.

I'm assuming there's a higher rebound force on turf which could add extra strain on the body.

Major ligament injuries aside, turf burn is an incredibly painful and unnecessary injury that doesn’t happen on natural grass. I still have scars on my legs and arms from turf burns playing football in high school a bunch of years ago (it was on the rubber tire chunk enforced “state of the art stuff” they still use in the NFL now)

Yeah I do get that part. My kid plays on pretty c level turf and asked me to buy him long sleeve shirts to play in.

I'm just surprised the engineers can't figure out something because once grass gets torn up between the hash marks it can have divots and other ankle breakers. At one point the turf was hailed for being more cushioning for impact but that supposedly is what wrecks knees.

I think the part with World Cup that a lot of people overlook is that the reason they are bringing in grass to the turf fields is not because of injury its because of the belief turf negatively impacts the balls natural movement and ruins the play - now I'm not pro-turf at all - but this also humored me because it's clear that all grass is not equal. Turf - at least in theory - could be.

Yes, recall Mosley with his injury vs Panthers. Turf is higher significant injury risk, but may help vs fall force. Mosley is still trying to work back.
It doesn't take much to rupture an achilles or also tear ACL, MCL. coworker awhile back ruptured achilles just backpedaling playing pickup basketball. I rec,all in Wolrd Cup play, England's Michael tore ACL just on a awkward cut on regular grass.
