NFL 2023-2024 Thread

Since watching QB school reviews, been watching offense way differently. We have a major offensive line problem. Got totally exposed here in a playoff environment.

Not to excuse Purdy at all, but damn they didn't make it easy on him. Also 4 drops on the night.

End of the day, 6-7 on the crunch time drive, got us to the end zone when it mattered

Maiocco said it’s the same shoulder Deebo injured in Cleveland.

This offense needs Deebo. There’s so many games they don’t go to him much at all that his value gets underrated, but losing his presence is massive. Debo’s absence last time coincided with Trent missing games as well so the offensive struggles were easy to chalk up to one or another, or both..but we need Deebo

Maybe it will be enough to get to the Super Bowl but I don’t want to start counting my chickens. I thought they would beat Green Bay fairly soundly.…but this team isn’t winning anything without Deebo

As a neutral that was a fun one to watch (especially because even though I'm neutral I was rooting for the 9ers).

My kiddo was "rooting for the underdogs" though.

anyways, GB really let them kneel down with two timeouts left in the rain? Never seen that in a playoff game.

To be fair, I’m not sure it’ll rain like that in Santa Clara for the next decade and Kittle had like three bad drops on his own.

When I say Shanny is in his former disciples’ heads, I mean he is IN their heads.

I was promised that the El Nino was going to bring all our foul weather down to California but I've been iced in for a week.

Maybe next week can be better for everyone.

Rough game to watch...Niners didn't look too impressive, and Green Bay squandered every opportunity that was given to them to pretty much put the game on ice.

Y'all (barely) escaped with a W.

Also, should you win next weekend (which, based on today's performance, should not be considered a given), you will want to cheer hard for whoever comes out of tomorrow's Chiefs @ Bills game alive. Baltimore's gonna be a steep mountain to climb, while either the Chiefs or the Bills, in my honest opinion, will be somewhat of an easier matchup.

I think this team needed a stinker. We barely escaped yeah but we haven't played a meaningful game in a long time. Feeling good about next week

I mean...Things could easily be much different here had the Cowboys consistently shown up for all (or most) of their playoff games. Usually, by the time the end of the 4th quarter rolls around, if, and when, the Cowboys are down, they're usually down big.

Oh, and by the way, next season might be the first season in a LONG while during which I might just tune out as much noise about the Cowboys as I possibly can. I don't trust the team with Mike McIdiot, and just want the old b*****d to play out his final contract, and put up such a stinker that Jerruh has no other option but to let the dude walk.

I dunno, as long as it doesn't rain, I think Purdy will pick it up vs the Lions who have just as bad a secondary as the 49ers. Although the way the 49ers are getting wiped on the runs, the Lions may be able to win with Gibbs and Montgomery. I think Gibbs is one of if not the best RB in the NFL. His top gear is faster than anyone on the 49er diefense. However, Big equalizer is Goof who is not a winner under pressure., and good for INTs Still gotta give the nod to the 49ers to make the Superbowl - now vs Ravens. Bills, Chiefs, that's another story - they absolutely will need Deebo for the Superbowl. If this game doesn't spur management into making moves for new secondary palyers, I don't know what will.

Don't underestimate your competition.

That's all I'm gonna say here.

Also, I speak from experience...:p:p:p
Yeah, I knew it was gonna be a turd game with the gawd-damn rain. The 49ers didn't underestimate em, but it didn't matter. IThe rain kinda equaled out, but I think GB got the better of the rain screw-ups, when you include Purdy's perforamnce and the slip-downs. I think good weather, 49ers offense scores at least 1 more TD. Dont underestimate having an idiot coach like Shanahan decline an obvious chance for TD and points due to 'fear of the other team getting the ball with time'. That was a amazon gift same-day express for the Packers. 49ers went into half with a timeout left - straight up dunce Shanahan.
