This team was absolutely ill-prepared for this game. They marched in like it was going to be a cakewalk. Yeah, a lot of this performance falls on the coach. It also falls on his staff (HI WILKS!) but eventually this ultra-talented team’s shortcomings need to get back to the leader.

I know Kyle always defers but he believes too much in the defense that can’t stop the run, screen passes, and an offense that can’t play from behind.

If this was the Niners that used to never give up anything on the ground then you defer against a team that wants to run. Fine..

..but Niners should look to strike first when it was established weeks ago that the defense is ineffective against the rush and on third down. And established weeks before that they can’t play from being down multiple scores.

You want to do everything possible to make Goff win the game. Kyle paid for it in less than 2 minutes today and Detroit hasn’t looked back

I doubt he will be on the hot seat. Wilks will be an easy and well deserving fall guy..

But it’s absolutely appropriate to question Shanahan in big games. Even with the flaws…this should not be happening against Detroit in this fashion.

Paper mache defense......and Purdy holding the ball too long and really doesn't look good , this is a beat-down big time. Game reminds alot of the Vikings loss earlier in the season. Totally outplayed.
