We can have several versions with different photos of different players. We just need to overcome the no trademarked logos visible issue. :(

Can someone send me that photo?

Agreed. I know, I know, I am nitpicking, but can we please capitalize the "I" on it if it is indeed used here? Drives me nuts to see caps and non-cap letters mixed like that - and same thing with the "n" on his other one with the old logo. Just annoying as all get-out.

DeMon, I think you did an awesome job as well - you folks with some creativity just astound me. I'm an engineer and can't draw anything unless it is with a scale and a protractor. :p No artistic talents at all like you guys.

Seriously, the members are the client here. So if this needs to be changed I am open to it. I like it because it breaks up the redundant vertical and makes it much more readable and interesting, at least in my mind...but then my mind is...oh look, a rabbit.
 
This was tough for me. I like cstorm's new logo banner, but I really like DeMoN's, too. I might have picked DeMoN's, except I would have liked the KINGSFANS.COM filled in as solid letters. At least, I think I would like that better.

Great job by both of you, though. I'm impressed. :D
 
I like this contest. Very fun to see a good change


Couple of questions/suggestions for @JGar:

-Could we hide the results of the voting until its finished? (Guests can see the votes) Make it more of a surprise and would have a less influence on voters

-Would CSS of the site change to match the new banner? That would be cool to see colors blend to the new banner

LOL, Warhawk. I love the small case i in Kings. It is much easier to read. The capital I in the second one, is one of the things I didn't like about it. Of course, it could just be the font.
 
Sorry guys im going to have to retract my entry, removing the logos will be too difficult of a challenge, would be better just to make a different banner all together.
 
I never got around to finishing my entry. Majority of my free time went into taking care for my grandma who has been hospitalized for a couple weeks now, but what I have I would like to load what I have even tough it is too late for voting and is incomplete.

The symbol I created is pretty similar in context to CStorms.

With the idea of royalty meeting basketball and it is all connected by the fans (KF/kingsfans).

I had 5 points to represent the starting 5 and the lines you might recognize a basketball. Tied together by a regal crest with the fans being what connects them together.



Direction I was heading in, I used my own photos so I think it would have been safe in avoiding licensing fees

I guess all I can do is plead for a another option in which CStorm uses my logo with his second variation since I like it :lol: and since Demon has dropped out. What I should have done was send some of my resources to CStorm and politely ask him to mock up a version.

yeah, whatever the banner is, we should defeinitely make sure that there is a recognizable KF "button"/logo thing as well that can be tucked into small places. Whether that be the old one or a new one, just something for when writing out Kingsfans is too pedantic.
 
You mean so it can be distinguishable standalone and at any size and fit on anything from a business card to a T-shirt?

I modified the photo DeMoN used and put a fake Kings logo on it so there is no trademark issue.

I think its funny that 5 people in a row quoted cstorm on the same quote. Sorry, it was just funny. Ok, back to the voting. It looks like we are all voting the same, however, I can't vote because its not part of the voting option.

I'm sure when Jeremy checks this thread, he reads all the posts. I think he'll know that what most people are, in fact, voting for is cstorm's latest effort, especially since he'll be in contact with him to finalize the product before it becomes official.

made this in a hurry... dont really think i can make something as good as cstorm... might work on it some more
