Nets @ Pacers game 4 thread

I think Jeff Van Gundy is a comentator in this one. Keeps calling Jasikevicious Jasikivich but other than that I think he's pretty good. Nets up right now. RJ's been good and carter hasn't forced it. Pacers keep fouling Collins.

He did, and only played 24 minutes in G3. Assuming he left the game, only saw the 1st qtr. Pacers lucky they got a deep team.

The Nets are showing why they are a 3 seed and its about time. Personally, i think Jermaine O'Neal is overrated, dude can't shoot and he hogs so much.

I also think it was Van Gundy who called Francisco Garcia "rodriguez"

LOL

Calling a game is actually a difficult and rare tallent, not many trained broadcasters can do it, and as for former players even fewer. Listening to Miller makes one appreciate Walton's skills... you may despise his hyperboly and his gushing lovefests for particualr players, but the guy gets the names and action right. Sitting in the booth with notes and an earpice is cake, but over the years MANY NBA players have embarrased themselvs calling a game, just add Miller to the list.

I'd cut Reggie a little slack. He's still trying to cross over from newly-retired player to on-air broadcast color commentator. He's still trying to make sure he doesn't say anything inappropriate, he's trying to get used to watching the game instead of playing it, etc.

I like Reggie and I think he'll get better.

My only complaint about the flubbed name was that, since it wasn't just Reggie making the mistake, apparently no one over the course of the entire game felt it was necessary to point out the error and try to correct them.
