Yeah, I don't understand it.

Also Koloko isn't in most mocks at all, but he's a first rounder EASILY.
I mean headed into the season most of the UA fandom had this being a 3 player team (Benn, Kerr and Tubelis). Really gotta give Coach Lloyd all the credit in the world for Koloko, Ballo, Larsson and actually turning them into a team that people consider deep.

Yeah, there are basketball minds who I otherwise respect who had TyTy ranked over Benn and I have absolutely no idea what I'm missing other than TyTy being a guard from Kentucky.
TyTy had Arizona on his final 4 when we were desperate so I have to admit a bias against him.

Some of the same things they missed on Maxey. TyTy isn't a world beater but those Kentucky guards that can peak around pick and rolls and unload those shots do pretty well at the next level. I haven't been following many mocks but TyTy around 10 or so seems right.

I’ve been really harsh on TyTy, but being on a team with only 1 other legitimate shooter is going to be hard.

With all of this being said, we’re seeing a trend of Kentucky guards who only play okay/good in college, but absolutely light it up once they get in the NBA. Everyone gets better over time, but there’s no way that guys like Booker, SGA, Herro, and Maxey don’t go top 5 in a re-draft. Keldon Johnson would go top 10. I might be forgetting a couple other players, but I think it’s enough of a sample size to give Washington the benefit of the doubt.

I remember this same problem with Maxey when he was a prospect too.

I just don't see the same juice as Maxey or those other guards with TyTy though. The PG skills are lackluster, he's not a great defender, not a super explosive athlete and he's already 20. Maybe a hot take, but I'd much rather draft Agbaji who I know has ideal 2 guard size with an elite shot.

I just watched some AJ Griffin highlights.

Pretty nice shot and looks pretty solid but man does he look slow to me.

Almost like he's moving through molasses or something.

Does anyone else see the same thing ?

Kind of concerning to me

I don’t see Buddy Hield slow, but he doesn’t have the extra gear that Mathurin has either. I think he’ll end up being a solid NBA player, but I don’t see an elite 3 and D profile either. In a draft with better players, he would be a mid teens or later pick. If he ends up on the Kings, initally, he’ll end up producing around where Justin Holiday is producing. Maybe a tick better as a spot up shooter, but a full level lower as a defender.

Tired: Rick Adelman was the best coach in Kings history

Wired: The King of Powerpoints Eric Musselman is the greatest coach to ever work for the Kings
In all fairness Muss probably somewhere between Malone and Joerger in the post Adelman era. It's pretty ridiculous that the Maloofs though Adelman was holding the rotten corpse of the GY Kings from contention. I'm happy for him tonight. I hope he ends Coach K's career.

lmao how sad is it than in the roughly 30 coaches we’ve had since Adelman he’s probably pretty safely top-3 of the list.

From Wikipedia
Musselman's .402 winning percentage with Sacramento ranks fourth all-time among Kings coaches, behind Rick Adelman (.633), Reggie Theus (.415) and Garry St. Jean (.403).

We suck!

I also feel a little bad for Theus who was trying his damnedest to win at a time it was clear we should have tanked for a year or two. LOL
