yeah, I realise this and most trade proposals thrown out make little sense. I was more curious about Isaac’s value post injury. I was high on him in the 2017 draft.I would be absolutely done with this franchise if they made that trade lol

And on that contract he's on right now.personally I just don’t think he’s all that good, however he was making strides during those 30+ games year 3. But I just can’t imagine him having that kind of trade value, especially coming off that injury imo
Interesting position Orlando is in with two top 8 picks, but regarding Isaac sounds like he’s not a difference maker. And on that contract he's on right now.
Please let Buddy and Bagley be involved...
Wiggins/7 for Buddy/Bagley/9 perhaps? I've heard Wiggins deals being thrown around.
Why in the world would we trade useful players for a useless player just to move up two spots?
Bagley’s useful? I’ll absolutely give you Buddy. He’d be very intriguing on the Warriors.
Yes.
I know you disagree, but I don't really trust your objectivity on that particular issue.
I can’t fathom the reasoning behind Bagley being useful if Wiggins is considered useless. At least Wiggins plays every night.
Yeah, I don't think Bagley's useless, but you can't call Wiggins useless and in the same breath say that Marvin is not.
Still, there is no way I'd do that trade to move up two spots.

Because Wiggins has massively rehabbed his image and just had his best season. Props to him, I didn't think he had it in him.
That contract still isn't palatable and who knows what he'd do, but this is probably the best you could hope for. Buddy and Bagley have negative value.
Probably gonna have to move DOWN in the draft just to get someone to take on their salary and baggage.
Should I recount all the reports we've heard about Buddy's contract being unmovable, or them trying to throw Bagley at a wall to see if anything sticks and coming up empty.
Warriors GM Bob Myers said Tuesday: "We're not trying to develop players at the risk of losing ... That's not the plan."
Kispert, Mitchell, Wagner, Moody all make some sense at 7 for them

In my eyes nothing signalled Bagley is done here more than the announcement that we're keeping Walton. I'm terrified this will bite us but Bagley's social this week I think has finally made me ready to boo him.![]()
I'd take that Dave Joerger version of Marvin Bagley with a couple more years of development. His tough love wasn't popular with the players but he at least knew how to use them. Unfortunately for Marvin he's got one more "prove it" year in Sacramento and guess who is still roaming the sideline? Nobody is a bigger loser in this "one more year of Luke Walton" situation than Bagley is, except for perhaps his agent.

The issue there is that I’m not sure Sengun is a good enough shooter to be on the floor with Draymond and the backup big slot is already occupied by Wiseman for nowSengun.
LolI have to think if Ham's rumor is true (and I have zero faith there) it wouldn't be a package to move up but to deal for an established player as a "win now" move.
Win now being in quotes because the Kings seem to perpetually be in "lose now" mode.
I still see atl as the model of good coaching vs drafting or good gm. The players now were the same as earlier in the year. There wasn’t a new draft pick that changed things around. It wasn’t even just having a consistent team finally clicking cuz new players were added through free agency. The only thing that changed was Nate McMillan taking over as coach and then they started winning games. An interesting article on the hawks and the question of drafting for fit or best player available. Obviously you still need to draft a quality player either way, but team construction does need to factor into things. Interestingly enough, this also seemed to be Vlade’s philosophy… unfortunately he was looking to recreate a team from the kings golden era 20 years ago, vs. building a team with the understanding of the modern nba.

Did you read the article? It’s not about drafting for depth. The article concludes on how their lineup of the future fits together very nicely as a whole.Drafting for fit rarely if ever is going to totally fail but depth-ing your way along isn't new at all, and yes, a Vlade special. The issue is when they start losing some of those young guys or overpaying them when they might not quite be as valuable to them as it would seem. They drafted in the top again and as an individual buried another top pick. Using top picks for depth is stupid and they'll probably find out soon themselves.
Of course you need a good coach to get the most out of your players, but you still need the players. Are you saying Nate is some transcendent coach that can take any old team to the playoffs?I still see atl as the model of good coaching vs drafting or good gm.
