The Game Thread Dude
Also I wouldn't say the rest of his team don't belong in the league, Bledsoe looks like a really nice player, Aminu is too.. and they're without Kaman too.. I think the problem is with the coach, Vinni Del Negro is imo the worst coach in the NBA.
The Kings and their 35-point comeback would like to agree with you.

Darko "mana from heaven" Milicic is putting some work last few games!

He was just beasting the Lakers the other night, and was looking really great against OKC tonight..really impressed, if he can keep that offence going consistently he will a great bigman in this league, cause his defence was always there.. on a 30min + a night he could seriously challange for best blocker award, add his assists rebounds and MAYBE points, thats a fine big men right there especiely for his contract.

Gotta give credit when due to Kahhhhhhnnnnnnnnnn here, he really pulled one off with Beasley and Milicic so far.

Darko isn't really doing anything he hasn't done before with minutes, except shooting at a much lower percentage.

Games I was talking about he had excellent %, and was actually scoring 20+ points in, and thats something he hasn't done before in his 7 years career.

Actually it's :

Nov 22 @ OKC L 107 - 117 21 points, 4 reb, 2 assist, 3 blocks \\\ 9 - 14 from the field \\ 3 - 4 at the line, in 36 minutes

Nov 19 vs. LAL L 95 - 112 23 points, 16 reb, 5 assist, 6 blocks, 2 steals \\\\\ 10 - 18 from the field \\ 3 - 3 at the line, in 40 minutes.

Also him staying on the floor that much is something he didn't really do, so all his stats are rising cause of that, thats the major thing.

Gotta give me a thumb up for his last few games, with all the heat he was/is getting... the guy is a presence when on the floor defensivly, and if he can keep that offence up he'll be a big contributer and a very good player.

Ain't saying he's an all-star or smth, or even that he's having a great season, but just wanted to mention his last 2 games and say his name in a positive manner.

It's just that there's not much reason to believe that he'll keep up a two-game hot streak. Even with that streak, his scoring and rebounding per-minute this season are slightly below his career numbers, and his FG% is 50 points below his career total. It's hard to give him credit for the minutes, which are coming on a bad Minnesota team that signed him to a moderately big contract and has to play him. The only numbers he's putting up that are particularly impressive are his 2.8 blocks per game - and those are fine numbers - but the idea that he's suddenly turned a corner in his game seems to come around once a year or so, and it never yet has actually been the case. I'm inclined to believe he is what he is at this point.

Speaking to a Suns friend of mine, he and apperently many others according to him believe that they got 3 pieces in Dragic, Warrick and Lopez :p
Dragic is decent, Lopez at least has size and a willingness to play defense. They might develop into passable starters... but Warrick? As a building piece? Are they aware that he's in the middle of his sixth NBA season of mediocrity?

Peja making his Raptors debut! :D

ughhh nostalgia. Jay Triano did a good job getting Peja and Bayless integrated. He brought them into the game and right away called their numbers (easy enough to do, I guess, when you're up by 20). Seven points in three minutes for Peja and a buzzer beating three for Bayless!

The Spurs just keep winning. They are going to be really dangerous come playoff time, they should give LA a run for their money the way they've been playing so far. The Heat just look uninterested and like a jumpshooting team, up 21 and let the offensively challenged Bobcats come back and actually take a lead before losing in the end.
Someone says this every year, but who knows. I didn't think they'd get beat by Phx last year and it happened. I think the Spurs are in a deceptive stage of their own evolution where they're still a good-great RS team because of their stock of know-how and because Timmy and Toni are still 2nd tier caliber players and Pop is still a great coach. Come playoff time against formidable opponents for 4-7 games, they become a box of chocolates. We'll see.

Both LA and SA have long stretches of cake in their schedules. The Spurs could have a ridiculous record by January. Could take awhile before we find out how legit the Spurs really are.

The Heat look like what some of their cynics around here (including myself) were saying last Summer. Inside game, Bosh is soft, similarly skilled superstar duo, newbie coach, "need time to jell", etc. Haslem done for most of the year? Good God, that's like Malone taking a dive in 2004 for LA -- I think they lost their glue guy.

Kevin Love and Darko Milicic are playing unreal at the moment. Too bad Minnesota doesn't have some better guard, they'd be very good team.

Well if and when Rubio comes next year and shows he can actually play as good as ppl thougth, and with Flynn back this year - they got a preety solid and very promising team.

Milicic and Love compliment eachother very well, if Milicic can actually pull this type of game on a consistent level, or atleast close to it, they're going places.

Wes Johnson, Beasley, Milicic, Love, Flynn, Rubio.... Pekovic is a very solid option off the bench when he learns to keep his hands for himself and not foulout, Brewer is also nice to have off the bench for D, they got alot to start with, and they can also get better as they will prolly trade Flynn(or Rubio).

Thier coach fvcked the game up though imo, he shouldve went for Beasley down the stretch and not Love, who was obviusly hurt and not himself.. Milicic fouling out at the begining of the overtime was a major blow to them aswell, as they practicly ran thier offece through him ala-Webber late in the game and it worked great.

Getting Rubio next season or whenever there is a season again will help Minnesota out a lot. He is a pass first PG and can play defense. I'm sure he can work on his shooting and it will come in time. The T-Wolves team def. looks promising and they are slowly coming up. They def. deserved to win the game last night, unfortunately for them they took some very poor shots down the stretch.

On a T-Wolves note: Kevin Love had another 20/20 game tonight. Against the Warriors, but still....That guy is beasting this season. Averaging 14rpg in something like 32 minutes.

Also, the Heat lose again. lolz.

Miami heat player only meeting... jeez it has come to that.. this early

I can only imagine

Bosh: alright every one here? good we can start
Lebron: So we all agree.... we all blame coach spo right.
Wade: All in favor say aye!
Team: aye!
Lebron: meeting adjourn....

Lebron wade, bosh are now co-player coaches

I'm surprised there was no mention here (unless I missed it?) abouth Bosh's comments after the Suns game that Spoelstra is working them too hard and how they just want to chill.

Or this...

Sorry if a repeat, I only saw both over the weekend when trying to check which day the Heat-Cavs game was on.

Indiana beats LA on their home court. That was good to see. Lakers are such sore losers, especially Bryant. Whenever they lose a game, they just stroll off the court and can't even give props to the other team. But when they win, it's all good.

Yeah man, part of why I hate the Lakers is that the whole org is douchey. Players, coach, right down to the fanbase. They're a really spoiled franchise. I mean, Stern changed the rules just so they could steal Shaq from Orlando! And what was with that Pau trade? Marc Gasol is not that great. Plus they always get all the calls.

Urrgh...

I really really hope they dont 3peat. I live in Lakers land and its going to suck if they do. If they lose in the playoffs, I'm going to taunt everyone until I get beat up. And then taunt some more.

When your used to something for so long, it tends to drag on with you until you see a difference for a long period of time. Forunately for the Lakers players & fanbase they never had many downs to begin with so they are who they are.

lol i was just about to post a thread about that Lebron bump.... just spotted it.

WOW! that is insane he definitely goes for the bump there.

I wonder if Cuz has seen this... i hope not.

Haha. No he didn't. They didn't steal him either, he mos def wasn't pleased with Orlando by the time he left (he sets fire to every bridge he crosses).

Speaking of spoiled, you think LeBron wants to give Spo 3 yrs to lead them to a title like Shaq gave Harris?

Grizz beat the Lakers and that's their 3rd in a row. LA seems bored and disinterested. None the less, Rudy Gay 6 blocks, bravo! Spurs never lose and I don't know how Ginobili is that good.
