Well luckily it wasn't a draft choice and was just a "who do you think is going to be better?" type question.

Fox did best Morant in all 4 games last year but that's a year 3 player against a rookie. I suspect Morant will be better than Fox in the end due to his shooting and bulldog mentality.
I just remember it was debated last year and than Fox had a good game bs him and all hell broke loose.

And you can add running an offense to what he does better, he’s really good at that already

The Game Thread Dude
There’s something comforting about seeing Pop start a big even by 1990s standards lineup of Poetl/LMA/Rudy/DeRozan/Murray in a random preseason game.

I'm taking a look at the shot charts for each

Fox

Morant

Does anything stand out to you?

Fox looks like he is better
1. At the rim (also shot 6.7 FT's a game vs Morant's 4.6)
2. Above NBA average mid range game overall
3. Career .328 career average from 3 on 2.8 a game (I think they both have a lot to prove)

Morant
1. Better near the FT line area, probably with floaters too
2. Low volume mid range game (Means you can roll with his defender more, even if it's not hip for stat guys)
3. Career (well rookie) .335 from 3 on 2.7 attempts a game (I think they both have a lot to prove)

Beyond this Fox is probably the superior athlete, higher potential defender. Fox has a smaller TO per game. Nothing jumps out with assist numbers. You could say Morant is younger of course.

People who picked Fox over Morant will look absolutely foolish by February
you mean kings fans who want their own player to be better than another teams point guard? yeah what a bunch of idiots, who would want/hope their players reach their highest potential when we should all be hoping other teams players are better than our own, especially when we had no chance to get them

Hall of Famer
I get more and more shocked about what the Bucks gave up for Jrue Holiday every time I see something about that trade pop up. That’s Nets trading their future for the corpses of KG and others bad.

Watching Anthony Edwards.....hmmmm, small sample but.....I’m not so sure about him.
Well he doesn’t really wanna be in the nba so

They both can score the same what separates them is Morant runs a team like the best PG’s do, Fox doesn’t come close to that and it’s a big thing
