Kawhi Leonard with his second DPOY award. That draft is still the most bitter one for me. The year we badly needed an SF, instead of drafting a young prospect we took Jimmer and traded for Salmons.
Sigh...
Sigh...
CJ McCollum has been named 2015-16 NBA Most Improved Player.
Steve Kerr has been named 2015-16 NBA Coach of the Year. Didn't he take, like, half the year off?

I didn't read the whole thing. It appears the fans had an impact on the vote by being nasty to the female voters. I pretty much stopped there as it struck me that as in Sacramento, the Seattle fans had a big impact ,,,,,, in opposite directions. I feel sorry for the Seattle fans. Thank goodness for everyone that busted their butts keeping the Kings here.In general I hold no animosity for the basketball fans in Seattle, but Chris Hansen is a different matter... so here is a bit of schadenfreude for the week:

So much for the whole Hansen gets things done argument.
wow can't believe Magic fired Skiles after only one season. It seems where ever he coaches he rubs players and/or front office the wrong way huh?
They didn't fire him actually, he released a statement that he decided it wasn't the right situation for him and therefore he was going to resign. Interesting turn of events. They look like an up and coming team, I suspect it's more of a behind the scenes thing which led to this. We'll see if Scott Skiles ends up with another team next season or takes some time off instead.
i thought it was a strange hire to begin with. scott skiles is decidedly a veteran's coach, and the roster he stepped into was decidedly not veteran in its make-up. skiles has never really shown a knack for developing a young team into a winner, and while his teams always play hard and compete on the defensive end, he's also rarely pushed those teams to an elite level. this could be quite the blessing-in-disguise for the magic if they act quickly to get frank vogel in the door for interview. they've made it clear that they want to establish a strong defensive identity, which was the intention when they hired skiles in the first place. vogel would be a much better fit for the magic's young talent...
Yeah I agree about Vogel to Orlando, seems like a good fit. And maybe even Scott Skiles to Indiana. I thought when Orlando traded for Jennings and Ilyasova (both of whom Skiles coached in Milwaukee) that was a move aimed at getting him some veteran leaders who were familiar with his system. I think the front office was pushing him to play Elfrid Payton more and Skiles didn't think he was ready. They have some nice players but a lot of positional redundancy too.

Per Woj, the Pacers are hiring (promoting) Nate McMillan to head coach.
I can't image Pacers fans are too happy about that.

You called it! Frank Vogel is the next coach of the Orlando Magic.
