I think the Warriors will do just fine. This was Clippers after all. and say what you will, but WCS will help them. he did average 12 pts, 8.5 reb, 2.5 ast, 1.2 stl on 56% shooting in 27 minutes last year. he will give them a pnr lob threat, pnr defender, switch defender which i think will address some of their weaknesses now.

Willie will help them by virtue of simply being an NBA player. Last night, the Warriors were playing dudes who would probably get cut by D-League teams.

It amazes me one of their first rotation pieces is a guy bad Phoenix didn’t want.

The crazier thing is that they cut the only non-Steph/Klay/Dray/Looney member of last season's finals team to open up a roster spot for him.

Warriors were doomed to miss the playoffs this year. Only now do the talking heads recognize it. The blood is in the water and the hammerheads, bull sharks, and great whites are circling and gnashing, with the tearing of flesh only beginning. Curry is going to yearn for the safe harbor of Durant, Thompson and Iguodala. Green is going to rant and get kicked out of games just so he doesn't have to witness the carnage.

Alright so I know it's only been a few days so it's super early in the season, but I've gotta say...I don't see any scenario in which the Clippers don't win the title. Kawhi is Kawhi. PG is PG. Lou Williams can score at will. Montrezl is feasting per usual. Shamet is an absolute sharpshooter. Beverley is a bulldog on defense. Zubac is a capable big. PPat can defend a bit and knock down the 3. Harkless is an all-around decent player.

Barring injury I can't foresee them losing. Not to Philly, not to Boston, not to LAL. Not to anyone.

People may be angry about us passing on Luka but the one that still gets me is Petrie passing on drafting Kawhi in order to trade down for Jimmer and the rights to the Stinky Fish.

not for me at where we were picking we had no idea what Kawhi would be ya that was bad. But Luka literally fell in our lap dude was killing adults in the second best league in the world since 17. But Ayton/Bagley were killing future math teachers and chairs come pre draft. We take Bagley for fit like a team picking top 3 should even take fit into consideration.

Also I was absolutely wrong on how easily he’d score over here compared to euroleague. I thought he’d top out at 25ppg max in his prime, kid might be doing that in his 2nd season he’s a walking 25-8-8 guy.

Some r/Nba redditor made some statistical analysis on VORP compared to player salary (the value of players contract conpared to his production). Obviously not the most credible statistical anlysis in the world but at least intresting.

Some interesting results for the Kings: last year Harrison Barnes was the second worst valued contract just behind Andrew Wiggins and Luka Doncic was the 8th most valuable contract in the whole league. Hopefully Barnes will step up his value this year since he is on a huge contract and once again, missing on Luka is just so very unfortunate. It was very bad at the draft day and since that its just getting worse.

To be fair to Barnes, if he had played the entire season in Sacramento the way he played for us in those 28 games, he would have wound up with a 0.6 VORP instead of a -0.2 overall. Not great. Not worthy of that contract...but not near the bottom of the league either. The thing about Barnes is I can't see him playing any better than he did while he was with us last year and his on court impact was still just ok.

Interesting new candidate for worst team in the league: The Mavs when Luka isn't taking over games.

Carlisle hasn't been a good coach for at least half a decade.

Dallas had a double digit lead and I went to use the bathroom. I get back and they're only up two. Neither of these teams wants to play defense lol

This has been some legendary #LemonBooty by Brooklyn.

Well, I guess you can't play hero ball, if you're not behind...

I enjoyed the joke from Stugotz, on the radio this morning: the Suns won a game, and the NBA's immediate reaction was to drug test the whole team.

And yet, strangely enough, they are competing against the Nuggets, in Denver, in what I'd have expected to be a blowout.
