Zion’s injury is a torn meniscus.

Dude isn’t going to last, is he?

Pelicans should just make Zion sit out the whole year. Fix these apparent biomechanical issues, make him drop at least 30lbs and maybe fix his bad shooting mechanics while doing it. Its awfull to say but without some serious work I dont see him avoiding injuries long term and there are examples out there how injuries can turn an all Nba player to a bench guy (Rose for example). His style of play, lack of jumpshot, bad biomechanics and weight combined just scream a huge injury risk and I wouldnt want to see that on a player that special.

The problem with Zion and his weight is if he losses it, he losses his main advantage which is that insane strength build (still will be strong no doubt and maybe quicker). It;s a catch 22 imo.

You know, my criticisms of Anthony Davis and his softness aside, I actually like Davis, and don't really give a **** about New Orleans. And I don't buy into that "Nobody believed in us/everybody doubted us!" bullshirt, either. THAT being said, I am sympathetic to players that were cast aside by other teams, and the Pelicans are full of them. I personally find them easier to root for, without Zion Williamson.

Surprise, surprise that Zo didn’t play a majority of the 2nd half. Maybe it wasn’t Luke Walton’s fault after all lol.

Eh, I'm rooting for Lonzo, simply because of the whole "cast off" thing. Everybody was ready to throw that dude in the trash, even his own father.

I like Lonzo too but I don’t think he is as good some of his “supporters” think he is. He’s a role player right now not some Superstar. I think Melo is going to end being a better NBA player than him.

I don't really check for the hype, so I don't have much of a sense of how good Lonzo Ball's "supporters" think he is; I don't hang out on the portions of the internet where I would be exposed to it.

I will agree with the last part, but only from the standpoint of the NBA being a scorer's league, and Lonzo isn't one. I haven't seen much of LaMelo Ball but, nothing from the limited observations I have had suggests to me that he's a better basketball player than Lonzo Ball is. That being said, when you look at both ends of the floor, and all-around skillsets, I think that the case could be made that Shane Battier is, objectively, a better basketball player than Joe Johnson, but Iso Joe is such a superior scorer, that it doesn't matter.
