John Tesh on how he came up with the NBA theme song in a hotel and then sent himself a voicemail with the basic jingle so he wouldn’t forget it. Pretty funny

Imagine if the Blazers ended up with Wemby

Lillard
Simons
Grant
Wemby
Nurkic

With Sharpe and other picks they would have had the ammo to make a big splash if they so chose.

Well LeBrons upset that hes not getting the calls he's used to. They need a young face for the league to love. Maybe they can get Ja for Revees and chicken food.

Something to watch for as the season goes on... Milwaukee's Defensive Rating has plummeted from 4th in the league last year to 27th in the league this year. It hasn't shown up in their record yet but they also have a negative point differential which suggests that their winning record is a little bit lucky. The economics of the current CBA are not kind to super-teams. It's going to be a challenge for them to augment their supporting cast with just 2 players eating up $100 million worth of cap space.

It probably also makes a difference that they replaced their defensive-minded lead guard with a turnstile.
Exactly. And said turnstile costing them $50 million a year means finding plus defenders in free agency to compliment their more offensive-minded core is not going to be easy. People tend to ignore this and treat NBA teams like NBA Jam teams in the off-season when they're making their predictions.

To the extent that this is true, Damian Lillard's mere presence on the team is still a bigger factor in their apparent defensive decline than them not being able to afford to sign anybody to their bench, IMO. Like, even if they could have hypothetically gotten Dame for $30M a year, that doesn't change the fact that a sieve was going to be playing arguably the most impactful position for thirty-six minutes a game.

this Magic squad is really fun to watch. Didn't realize they are a top 5 defensive team as of now, which is still early but just watching them, they are swarming, very fast to the ball and reaction time is precise. Suggs has all nba defense in him as far as my two eyes can see

Between Cade, Duren, and Ausar, the Pistons have a nice young core to build around that Jaden Ivey absolutely isn’t a part of anymore lol (Sasser already taking his rotation minutes).
