if I'm Denver, I'm going after Beal, Dame or Siakam. Those teams will rebuild eventually, question is how soon. Yes, Raptors have a winning record this season but let's not fool ourselves, they aren't going anywhere as constructed.

Why?

FVV and Siakam are already all-stars and just 27. OG (24), Barnes (20), Trent (23) are all young and ascending. Achiuwa (22) and Malachi Flynn (23) is more potentially good young youth. They're the 6 seed, sure, but in the most competitive eastern conference of all-time and just 4.5 games back of the 1 seed.

They're already good and still have a bunch of potential upside built in with their core. They could use better depth, but I can see plenty of paths how they get back to a finals if OG/Barnes develop how I think they will.

And they all at least seem to put up numbers together so even if they have to move on, it should be doable later. Denver is in a tough spot, they aren't trading Murray or MPJ for stars or probably anything of great value ATM. Especially MPJ. Back issues dropped him in the draft, now they have surfaced years later in the NBA after signing a mega deal. Hopefully this doesn't turn into a Webber scenario for them.

Siakam and Fred are what they are which is really good but not enough to compete with Milwaukee, Philly and a healthy Nets squad. So essentially they are waiting it out on how Scottie develops
